OT: Really Kaep?

So we all know Kaep is a d-bag, just like his coach, but I just saw on some ESPN show that it is looking like he lied about his personal foul penalty for language against the bears. Basically he got flagged for inappropriate language in the game after throwing an INT. After the game he said that he didn't say anything. The next day there was an article out at ESPN discussing how the Niners were complaining to the league that he didn't say anything and didn't deserve a penalty. Kaep actually even said the bears players were baking him up. Now it turns out those Bears players are saying that he actually did use the N-word and should have been penalized. Overall this is not a big deal but what kind of an insecure entitled little b**** do you have to be to just lie about what you said. If I were his coach/organization and I publicly defended him and it turned out he was lying the whole time I would be pissed. What a tool! This is the type of crap you never have to worry about with Russ, it just looks bad.

Kopperdork is body of an Adonis brain by K mart. What an embarrassment. So tell me Goodell why this racial slur doesn't warrant sitting down for a game or 2, especially when he impugned the integrity of the referee?

The way the penalty happened, Kaep had to have said something pretty bad as there was no physical contact and it happened relatively quickly without a ref trying to intervene or break up something. I never thought for a minute that he didn't say the 'N' word, or some other really bad language. It's about the only reason they'd throw the flag under those circumstances.

Jesus, what did we do to deserve Russell Wilson?

He probably didn't "intend" to say it, so we can all just pretend it didn't happen, or some other lame excuse.... ;)

Just keep repeating... Beyond reproach. Write it on the blackboard 100 times.

He's not a mutt and he's not a saint, he is average personality, who is a really mobile and a good not great qb. The Niners are the problem they are 2 clicks away from imploding.

Niners would be a better team with Alex Smith, classier too. Thank goodness he is a chief and we get to face this mental midget Kap 2 to 3 times per year.

Don't wish for what you may get. What he lacks in Mentality he makes up for in mobility and ability.

I'm with obi on this one. Kaepernick is a step above Alex Smith. He has a major league arm with wide receiver speed and elusiveness. He is a very dangerous and formidable opponent that DC's have to game plan against and has a huge upside should he ever figure things out. I would much rather face a team led by Alex Smith than I would one led by Kaepernick. The discussion here is all about his personality, not his ability as an NFL quarterback.

I also agree with obi about how close the Niners are from implosion. They've had some major distractions during the offseason, have a pending one in the form of Ray McDonald's DV accusations, and could easily slip off the deep end with another couple of losses. If I'm a Niners fan, I'd be pretty nervous right about now.

I agree Kaep is a step above Alex Smith as an athlete, maybe a couple steps. He actually wasn't as quick as Wilson in the 40 at the combine but he has great football speed. But from my perspective hes a bigger more durable Micheal Vick. Hes terrible at reading the field and running is his first option as evidenced by 13 carries in the loss last week. And his gangsta no class persona is becoming more apparent all the time. I'm still not convinced the 9ers are better off with that type of guy. We've had the discussion and we will never know what would have happened to the 9ers the last couple of years had the change not been made. I think we will see going forward that this is as good as its ever going to get with Kap as opposed to the great ones(RW comes to mind) that just get better and better. I hope so, Id love seeing he and Hairballs incinerated by spontaneous combustion simultaneously.

There is a trade off choosing Kaepernick right now vs. Smith right now. Smith is more consistent from week to week but there is a defined ceiling and I don't think you can win a Superbowl with him at QB unless you have the right circumstances and draw the right opponents in the playoffs.

Kaep may melt down from time to time while still experiencing his growing pains but his ceiling is off the charts and he has the potential to single handidly take over the game no matter who he's playing against.

I guarantee you that Dan Quinn would have fewer sleepless nights putting together his game plan if Alex Smith were the 9ers QB still. There is no way I'd choose Smith over Kaep.

Huh, Well I gotta disagree with you and RIv, I'm SO HAPPY we get this guy twice a year.He throws 11 picks last season, and 6 of them came against us.

Thanks River.

The rest of you If he fails to show up against us this year, then you can write him off, but sorry we have a long way to go before that.
