I am watching the Niner game and watched their WR just shove the defender out of the way, and get a TD, right in front of the Ref and no call. So were is the supposed emphasis on offensive pass interference? Answer, there never was any, it was all BS in an attempt to down play the over emphasis on defensive pass interference. Not that we did not all already know that. Its starting to get to the point were its not even fun to watch any more.

Was this ever even a question.
On a side note, I've just watched Revis spend most of a game raping Green, with I think one IC call, no holds and no PI's. It really IS all about the name ( ala Jordan rules in the NBA) and the more I watch it, the more I wish Sherman had made MORE not less noise.

The only difference is the so called Jordan rules was a by product of the mugging strategy Detroit used against him.

I guess. Suppose I'm just "old", as I still believe that it SHOULD be hard to score, and that "quality" and "quantity" aren't remotely similar.

Didn't watch the game but do you think it was letting Revis get away with it because he was "Revis Island" or was it because it was Revis played for Patriots? I can't make too much of that though. Sherman gets away with a little more now because of the rep he's made for himself as well.
P.S. The "Jordan Rules" wasn't about how the refs or the league treated Jordan differently. The "Jordan Rules" was the unofficial title of the strategy of knocking Jordan down and getting physical with him any time they had a chance the Pistons used to defend Jordan. Those superstar calls came later.

I always called non contact superstar calls "Jordan rules" so obviously I wasn't specifically citing a specific team or style of play.

I saw the 49ners get two first downs that never should have been. In the first one the receiver only had his left foot inbounds yet his right knee landed out but Andy Reid didn't challenge. But, would it have done any good? Later CK obviously didn't run for a first down especially extending the ball with his right hand instead of his left. This time Reid challenged and with lightening speed (for a call review) the Ref. said the (bad) call would stand. It was so fast the network didn't even go to a commercial which is almost unheard of when a call is being challenged. Looks like the NFL had given the word that the Niners were going to win that game no matter what. The NFL didn't need to cheat for SF as Al Smith and/or whomever was calling the plays made sure the KC offense would go no where yesterday.
I too saw the Revis continual mugging of AC Green. I also saw all of the push offs by Whiner, Pats, and Bronco receivers. How the officials got the stones to call that chop block on Thomas I will never know.
