So Mort tweats something incredibly obvious, something we ALL KNEW ALREADY, that Lynch is not likely going to return next year, but spins it so that it is because of his attitude rather than the real obvious reason, because of his age and his HUGE salary.

This has gone too far. It's become so clear that the media is out to get this team, they are just dog piling now, and COMPLETELY making stuff up from thin air.

I'd be outraged except the media does this all the time, reporting any kind of news.

I'm not outraged, I'm bored. It has ever been thus.

Also realize that when they say "the Seahawks", at least in this instance, they are talking about the front office, not Pete or the players.

Fine, us against the world seemed to bring this team closer, I don't for a minute doubt that this spun, but who cares. Let the lemurs talk about it, ultimately, if Lynch runs the ball, the Seahawks win, next year, will take care of next year.

You know, it occurs to me that, this CLEARLY made up and over the top nonsense, provides an educational opportunity.
For example: did you know that, the clown who started all this locker room divided, Wilson not black enough nonsense has been drubbed out of most media, for lying on his resume?

http://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/Daily/Issues/2004/01/Issue-77/Sports-Media/True-Lies-Freeman-Resigns-Indy-Post-Due-To-False-Resume.aspx

Now he's a hack for BleacherReport, which is essetially the National Enquirer of sports web pages.
Guys like Mort and all the others who are now dog piling on this crapola, are exposing themselves for the talent less hacks they are as well, they purport to be something better, something above, something more legitimate than the Bleacher Report stuff, and yet, they are only too willing to do EXACTLY the same kind of thing Bleacher Report does.

Of course, this sort of thing does NOT end with sports reporting! I could link literally hundreds of "news" articles that were embroidered, exaggerated, or flat out made up out of thin air.

Point I am making is, be careful when reading this stuff. Keep in mind the knowledge that much of what gets reported, is, at very best, biased.
We can expose the lies for what they are, sometimes that's a good idea, though you really have to pick you battles or you'd go insane, or maybe the better options is to do what Russell Wilson says, and "Ignore the noise".

PFT has a comment about it in that they say Lynch is still "salty" about the contract issue last off season.
He knows that this will probably be his last year here especially at his current salary.

There is another comment that says Robinson said there is a leadership change with Red and Clem gone and maybe Wilson isn't in players faces enough like P. Manning is.

In any event, some things are going on.

And what do you know - there was a Christine Michael sighting today at the game:)

IMO, we still need to draft a good, solid, RB prospect next spring.

I think Michael has upside, but he cannot be banked on to either stay healthy or produce what we need from the position. The fact that it's taken him this long to even get some carries in a very meaningful game says plenty.

DL, OL, RB, WR. You can make a good argument for flipping some of those around, but the fact remains that an offense that relies as much on the run as we do needs more insurance than Michael at the position.

With the draft considering RBs as having less value, I want to find out more about Todd Gurley.
He's a Junior in hot water with the NCAA at the moment, but he has shown good ability at the College level with Georgia.
From what little I've seen of him, he's a bigger back with good speed and could be a workhorse in a run first Offense.

We do need OL again in the middle or early rounds and a pass rusher, but the real good pass rushers are hard to find outside of the top selections.
