I think that this article will probably only confirm what most of us already knew, or at least believed to be true, but it's still nice to get that confirmation from an inside source.

The article makes sense, too.

whenever I hear of locker rooms being "split" in terms of how they feel - usually pertaining to the HC- there's any number of things to consider.

Living in the bay area of CA, the buzz down here is about SF and the culture concerning Harbaugh. IMO, there is some substance to it, but the level is anybody's guess. I base my opinion primarily on the fact that when something has been written about as much as that story has, there typically is some credibility to it.

How much?

But I do believe there's something to it. In that particular situation, however, I think is has a lot more to do with results - wins and losses - and the 49ers are far from where they thought they'd be at the midpoint of the season. The Seahawks, obviously, have had issues of their own, but we're still pluggin' away and moving forward.

And on that note, SF players are still giving 100%. The play calling, especially in the redzone last week vs the Rams, was strange. Regardless, at the end of the day, I agree that Harbaugh will be gone by the end of season. I think he's ready to move on, and his tenure with the team has run its course.

This is why Holmgren said he hated as a coach to get involved with contract negotiations. Which brings up the question can you be a coach and GM be the same guy in the modern era??
