Taking this over here to clean the other thread.

A little hard to believe based on the fact you had the talking points down pat, especially early on in his presidency although you are now backtracking.

So just because I don't like reading your crazy BS when it comes to Trump doesn't mean I like the guy and want him to become president. Next election I'll either vote no confidence again or find another person to vote for that suits my viewpoint and isn't trying to turn us into excuse-making, lazy, no accountability socialists.

I could care less about politics. Blowing trillion dollar holes in the budget and imposing business killing tariffs, dissing our friends and allies while sucking off vlad Putin isn't my cup of tea either.

I'm voting against the party of trump, period. If that means bernie sanders Ill do it assuming Trump is not impeached which is becoming more of a possibility with every guilty plea, flipped witness and indictment.

If you didn't vote for anyone you are excluded from the conversation, sorry. Gary Johnson was an excellent candidate and very proud that I did my civic duty and actually voted for the best choice.

Trump doesn't control me like he controls you.

Trump doesn't control me any more than he did McCain. As a lifelong republican that said no Fing way and wont give him one inch of legitimacy id say quite the opposite of the 80% shillsd in the party.

Neither of the candidates in the last election were worthy to serve this nation. It was a bad vote for either one. That is a sad, sad state of affairs for America.

Couldn't agree more with this. The thing is Gary Johnson was right down the middle, a man of integrity and a successful 2 term republican governor. The real rigged aspect of the election beyond Russia's massive meddling was his exclusion from the debates by the duopoly and the media eager for a s*** show rather than an intelligent discussion. I'm not sure how the chips would have fallen but he was polling better than Ross Perot who was included and likely helped elect slick willie. At this point Id rather be in loyal opposition to HRC and still have my lifelong party than be governed by this dangerous embarrassing lunatic hand picked by our greatest geopolitical foe.

Maybe if you get control of your emotions and focus on logic, you'd do a much better job of fighting Trump and fixing this nation. This nation doesn't need more emotionally driven ridiculousness. It needs some reason, wisdom, and an understanding of the purpose and founding values of the nation and how to implement them in the modern day.

The problem isn't Im too emotional. It's that not enough people give enough of a crap about this travesty. We should all be on the way to washington with pitchforks and we should start at the white house and go right through the senate and house as well but apathy reigns. Not with me buddy and i'm doing my best to try to change minds one at a time and call every bit of this guys BS. If you don't like reading my truth pass it on by.

You can search my past posts. Nowhere do I say I voted for Trump. I know him likely better than anyone on this board. I read his Art of the Deal when I was 17 years old. I've watched his reality TV show. I've followed him since I was young. I found him to be an inspiring, entertaining guy who worked very hard to build himself up into what he is and an amazing salesman. He's not the great businessman he portrays himself to be as he employs financial advisers to handle the nuts and bolts of his business, but he's a very charismatic salesman and a very determined man. He used those sales skills to win the presidency. To me Trump becoming president was a prime example of how stupid the American people are as a group and how poorly educated Americans are. It was sad to see a salesman trick this nation as he did. More a testament to the American people than Donald Trump. He's just an opportunist with a goal that he somehow accomplished.

That being said if you know the guy, you know he shouldn't be president. The guy was a narcissist the entire time I followed him. He's always talking about himself. Even his Apprentice show was an example of his narcissism on display. I don't think he's a racist as Riverdog does as I've never seen him display racist tendencies throughout his career other than the mild attitudes of a New Yorker. But I do think he's preying on the racial fears and prejudices of the base he sold to vote for him. Unlike what he's used to when selling to an individual or small group. the national news takes a sales speech crafted for a specific group and broadcasts it to the nation making him seem like a racist. The fact that he doesn't grasp that is another reason he shouldn't be president. He doesn't seem to get the way things work on the playing field he has chosen to enter.

Trump is a cheater. He's cheated on multiple wives. Wives to Trump are trophy wives and arm candy to show how strong and wealthy a male he is. Trump is a womanizer and has been for years. When I saw him in a church during the election, I laughed to myself. I never heard Trump talk about religion or god the entire time I followed him. Trump is his own god in his mind.

Trump's petty and combative. He takes shots back at anyone that takes shots at him. It's what he's done most of his life. As a private citizen and entertainer it can be amusing, as a president its pathetic, embarrassing, and disrespectful to the office.

Suffice it to say that Trump was much better as a reality TV star, but his reality TV star shtick as President is annoying, disrespectful, and embarrassing. I hope he is gone in two years or less. I do feel that it is too bad given that his policies might help the nation quite a bit, at least some of them. He's just not the right man for the job. I knew he wouldn't be. He's too much about Trump to be a president. Once you become president, you have to look at yourself as the leader of a great people and a great nation and it's not all about you. Once you accept that you lead a nation and its' not about you, you don't spend your time making twitter attacks and comments to the press to anyone that says anything even mildly insulting to you. He's a petty man disrespecting the office of president and turning the office into a Trump reality TV show. It's a damn shame that he is such a narcissist he can't use this amazing opportunity he's won to truly make this nation better.

Fair enough . I agree with most of what you've said here. But Ill add one more time what my greatest concern is and as someone who has studied the guy and listened to him speak over the decades you have to be able to see it too. The man is in mental decline and it's getting worse. Just look at speeches from a couples of decades ago and compare his speech patterns, his eyes, his lack of a fluent vocabulary.

We have 3 books now. Fire and Fury was a sensationalized journalism liberty hit piece from what I've seen but painted a portrait of a bat SH!+ crazy oval office.

Osomoras book is about a president in mental decline. She was dismissed as a crazy reality show contestant but Oh wait, she has a tape of John Kelly threatening her with character assassination if she doesn't keep quiet. She has a tape of Trump telling her it wasn't his idea to fire her and that "nobody tells me anything".She has a tape of press staffers discussing the context of when he might have used the N word. So there's a lot of substance there obviously. She's gone mostly silent as has Cohens attorney so my guess is its at the request of Mueller's team not to spill the evidence against him IMO although I cant prove it.

Bob Woodward book paints a picture of a man in mental decline erratic enough they have to go behind his back, steal documents, disobey his military orders in the case of Gen Mattis and NSA people. The book details that he doesn't want to impose any penalties on Vlad Putin and that his staff has had to work behind the scenes to do it. Multiple high ranking cabinet officials are quoted as calling the president an idiot, moron, having the IQ of a fifth grader etc.I know the supporters of trump will attack Woodward as a partisan hack but they loved him when he was criticizing the Obama administration. Hes a credible journalist who has never written anything like this about any president since Nixon.

Most striking was the anonymous letter written by a top administration official painting a truly frightening picture of the inner workings of Trumps mind and the need for "adults in the room to keep us safe". I believe this person, possibly Mike Pence due to the use of the word "ennobled" which he says all the time in speeches and I ve never heard it from anyone else in my life as a very verbal guy. Regardless of who it was I believe it was written to validate the accounts in Woodwards book and cry for help. The morning following the letters release Republican Senator Bob Corker who called the WH an "adult day care" a year ago said "everyone on the hill has known this from day one." The letter reveals a discussion about invoking the 25th amendment early in the administration. Its a discussion i was having about 2 weeks into his term as well so maybe im not as crazy as everyone in here thinks I am.

See Trump supporters, of all the things I detest about the guy its that he's loonier than me by x1000 and hes not taking meds. He's up tweeting in all caps at 1 AM now and this is the guy with the nuclear codes. I take some comfort in the letter as it portrays his inner circle as largely made up of people who stick around out of true patriotism and fear for our safety in a horrible job working for a miserable angry crazy man.

it is incredibly irresponsible for the republicans in power to try to manage this situation for at least 2 more years simply to hold on to power. Its the sole reason i plan to vote against every republican who supports him this fall. Hes not fit to be the commander in chief. That is all. GO HAWKS!!!!!
