Nvidia is just incredible

If you can, watch some of the Nvidia presentations at Computex 2024. Absolutely incredible technology coming. This stuff just blows my mind the way the world is going. I want a domestic robot and an autonomous car.

So many folks watch this political trash from these politicians that aren't particularly great at their jobs and guys like Jensen Huang are truly building the better world with incredible technology development that will improve all of our lives. It's just amazing.

It's watching presentations like this that make love being an investor. What some of these companies do is mind blowing and astounding. The advancements this will lead to are just now starting. We're once again in a hyper invention age fueled chip advancements which will lead to more advanced AI, robotics, autonomous vehicles, and a general leap forward in what we can do with computers. It's amazing. Give it a listen and be astounded.

An investment possibility? When Microsoft started I had a relatively small investment, that split a few times, and was very helpful to the life style I have become to enjoy.

You should definitely have Nvidia somewhere in your investments. I would not consider myself savvy at all in this world, so I rely mostly on funds, and all of the ones I invest in have Nvidia stock as part of their portfolio.

The stock valuation is high, but the runway for growth is extreme. It just split, so is more affordable now. It does have a valuation risk given how high it is, but I have no way to determine the size of the market for its products given it seems to be the hardware and some software fueling AI and all AI will be a part of online chatbots, image creators, video generation, self-driving, robots, code writing, and so much future tech. So not sure how to value it since not only are big companies like GOOG and MSFT buying their chips to build AI data centers but a global competition is occurring not only from companies, but governments who will need this tech to compete.

I have to say it is hard to recommend hopping in at these prices since any competitive product will severely harm their margins causing a drop in earnings which will likely drop the stock price, possibly an extreme drop. So it's one of those invest what you can afford to have tied up for a long time as it could drop and stay down for a while. It's never in danger of going out of business, but is in danger of competition taking part of the market and forcing margin compression which would drop the stock price.

So something you might want to pick up on a pullback or dollar cost average into a position you can afford to have tied up and let it run.

I got with my 401K administrator today and Nvidia is not available in any of our offered funds. I was going to start buy $50 a payday of it until retirement (about 14 months worth). I guess I have to buy it otherwise if I want to give it a whirl.

Yes, NVIDIA seems like a great company with awesome investment potential. I have been investing in them for a few years. I agree with ASEA- they have been overvalued, but I think they are still an excellent long term stock.
