This might be the guy to replace Clemons.
It's easier to tone down the antics than to try to get more passion.

He seemed to always come up with the play to move the chains.
I liken him to a taller Doug Baldwin.

Seems like it's a battle royal process in Seattle, get as many guys with chips on their shoulders, with unique traits, throw them together and see who is standing at the end. Battle to the death.... LOL.

NFL Network had a short article on Norwood.
If his future turns out to be as good as his past, we've found a very good player and our WR concerns will be gone.
He talked about preparation - not unlike Russell. I suspect they will be a great tandem.

Don't they use every draft that way? Shouldn't be news to anyone ( well minus maybe those sure fire "experts", but even those guys for the most part have been culled to the point of saying you just don't overly critisize Seattle's picks, because they know what they are doing, and the guys selected have something that makes them valuable. Seems they have gotten tired of being proven wrong year in and year out).

Overview

Staten posted 100 tackles in 49 career games at defensive tackle, including 35 starts. He posted 30 tackles as a senior despite battling a knee injury most of the season.

At 6-feet-4 1/2 and 310 pounds, he provides some scheme versatility as he could remain inside in a 4-3 or potentially slide outside as a run-stuffing end in a 3-4. To remain at nose tackle in a 3-4, Staten would need to add significant bulk to be able to occupy multiple blockers.

"I don?t mind doing that," Staten told The Tennessean before the draft. "It won't be hard because I can gain weight and I love eating."

"I know it depends on the team I go to, but they'll fit me in as needed. I'm just anxious to know."

Staten visited with the San Diego Chargers before the NFL Draft, and also worked out for the Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers while meeting with almost every team at some point during the pre-draft process.

Analysis

STRENGTHS: Naturally strong man who posted 30 reps at 225 pounds at his pro day. Good agility for his size, with a 27-inch vertical jump. If he proves to have enough bulk without losing his quickness, Staten offers scheme versatility as a backup at multiple positions.

WEAKNESSES: Comes from a small program, and the jump to the NFL could prove difficult. Can he handle the rigors of staying inside in a 4-3 scheme, or is he best suited to move to end in a 3-4?

I haven't heard of any red flags and earlier in the year most ranking I read said 1st or 2nd round.
Rangs latest eval had a round 2-3 grade.

OK getting home from work sort of late, had to catch up with what the Seahawks did so far. So forgive me if I am covering old ground, but I wanted to get this out there.

I am SERIOUSLY excited about two guys we picked up.
Marsh...wow that guy has "it". He's a ball of FIRE that guy...he's a got a bit of a temper, (hopefully won't do many stupid things in games) but his fiery attitude is a HUGE, HUGE plus. He's got a relentless motor, and HATES losing...loathes it.

The other pick I'm just in love with is Kevin Norwood. Another of those receivers who I have had on my radar for awhile.
The things he is best at, make him a PERFECT fit here.
What he does best is, get himself open after things have broken down for the QB, time his jumps and use his hands to snatch the ball out of the air, and control the sideline.
His numbers weren't all that impressive in college, partly due to the fact that, hey, there's only one ball to go around; but this guy fits what the Seahawks receivers are asked to do SO PERFECTLY that I think he will absolutely blossom here.
Again, I LOVE this pick.
A couple of the other picks...well...I actually had to go look them up.
