To say that McDaniel "blames" the loss on Seahawk fans is an overstatement. What he said was that they should have been able to "handle the road better... the crowd was rocking. We looked as though it was our first time in a hostile environment.". In other words, he was mentioning it as a factor, but the article is making it sound as if he thought it was the sole or primary reason.

Nevertheless, it's nice to hear that our home field advantage is getting better. That's one of the things that my friends and I that have gone to home games for decades could tell over the past few years, that the crowd is not nearly as energetic as they were during the LOB years, and one of the things I really missed about Seahawk football, the energy and excitement. Even if you weren't in the stadium, going to a Seahawks game at a place like our local watering hole was a huge rush.

The article was indeed titled in an inflammatory way to draw readers' attention. Typical media hype. Like you, I was happy to hear that the home crowd had a positive effect. I noticed a HUGE sea of orange in the crowd for the week 1 Broncos game, & I missed the days when Seattle season ticket holders would never allow that to happen. I theorize that the further away the visitor's city is located from Seattle, the less fans attend their away games.

I think that is going a bit far to use the word "blame", should have quoted as reason. This is directed at the link provided. When someone blames something they are indicating they would have achieved or had an opposite outcome if something didn't happen to them. To think if the crowd weren't involved the Dolphins would have won, doubt it. I think given the state of how the game was played out and how deficient they were at QB, on the road in a hostile environment, I believe Mike McDaniel handled the press conference best he could, and just acknowledging how much effect the crowd noise had.

I agree with both of you guys. I certainly wasn't directing my criticism towards Vegashawk as he was simply repeating the terminology used in the article but rather the author in the link. Writers do tend to over dramatize things in an effort to get more clicks, and more clicks equals more advertizing revenue. Same with anyone associated with the Hawks. The more excitement they can generate, the more tee shirts and jerseys will be sold.

It's only Week 3 and there are still two games left to be played in it, but as it stands now, we have the #2 ranked defense by yards and #4 ranked D by points allowed. I would think that anyone who might have questioned Pete's removal has to come to grips with the fact that the move to fire him was the correct one.

Well if we are throwing links around. I know the opponents QBs we have faced have made this possible. but still to keep any NFL level QB below net 150 is pretty impressive. We did this also going up against two Offensive minded Head Coaches.

The irony of this game is the biggest offensive play for the Dolphins was a pass to Dee Eskridge that netted 30 yards. I knew he was activated a day before the game and I thought the Dolphins were going to use him as a returner more.

The thing that sticks out at me in your post is that the biggest play for the Fins was for 30 yards. It's a testament to the play of our safeties, perhaps the biggest one season improvement in a position group that we've ever had. We've gone from Adams and Diggs, the two lowest ranked pair of starting safeties in the league (according to PFF), to Love and Jenkins, the two highest ranked at #1 and #6 respectively (as of Week 2). Yesterday, the Fins had just two plays that went for 20+ yards.
