We are in a must win next week against Manning who very seldom loses in the RS. 3. We were probably not going to repeat anyway.
Is this a doom post? NO, but IF we loose next week, yeah.

The chargers how ever had to play in that same 110'F to, it didn't seen to bother them to much.

But, that's the rub, we were in it at the end with a chance to win. Heck, I was even worried about leaving too much time on the clock for Rivers to get his team in game winning FG position.
Phillip Rivers is the best QB playing who hasn't yet won a Super Bowl. He is in my mind better the Rothlisbooger and way better than Eli Manning. It makes you wonder if the N.Y.G. should have kept Rivers when they drafted him.
It certainly helps that the 49ners. and the Cardinals have a loss to salve yesterdays debacle. Our team has always learned from painful mistakes and I am confident they will learn from this one.
Who know? Maybe we witnessed a preview of the Super Bowl?? Who knows? Maybe Rivers won 't be the best QB not to hoist a Lombardi?

The Chargers stepped up on a tough day for us. All credit to them.

Losing this game at the Clink would be huge. However, Seattle is a completely different FB team at home vs. on the road, so I think they will win a tough game. Denver is a lot tougher team than we beat in the SB however. 27-24 Seattle.

I'm not panicking nor calling the Denver game a 'must.' Arizona is the only team without a loss, and you know they aren't going to last long. They host the Niners this weekend. The Denver game, like the Chargers game last Sunday, will not be used in any tiebreaker scenario.
If the Niners were to have started out 3-0 and we started out 1-2, then I'd be a little more concerned. But that ain't happening. Sunday's game is very important and losing to the Chargers has elevated its importance, but not to the point where if we lose it means that if we lose we are denied home field advantage. The only other two teams in our conference that are 2-0 are the Panthers and Eagles, and we play both.
Speaking of which, I am not nearly as concerned about going on the road as I once was. We've played very well on the road lately. Last Sunday's game was the first time in over two years where we lost a game by more than a TD.
