My wayof guaranteeing a win

Postby RiverDog » Sun Nov 16, 2014 6:46 am

I'm in Vegas for a few days, and figured I needed to set myself up for a win-win, so I laid some money down against the Hawks as they are a 2 point dog vs. the Chiefs. My logic is this: If the Hawks lose, I'll be financially better off and it will ease the pain of them dumping a game. If they win, I won't feel so bad in losing. I didn't bet enough money to where I had to hope that they will lose and will still be cheering my azz off in some locale on the strip.

So wish me luck.... or don't wish me luck. Come to think of it, wish for a 1 point win, then it will REALLY be a win-win.

Two Points?? That's all their giving for K.C. at home with how well the Chiefs are playing right now?? I would have thought that LV would have thought that they would at least be a FG better than the Hawks playing at home, especially considering how few wins we have had at Arrowhead in all eras. I hope you get your win-win because that would mean the Hawks win. I will take any point differential as long as the Hawks come out on top. What two points tells me is that the Sports Book odds makers consider this game a toss-up and sports books are very very good at picking games since their lively hood depends on their being right, and we all know the "house" always comes out on top. All of our loses could have been wins, just like last year, so I have to give our guys the edge in a close game. The been there done that kind of thing.

Have fun watching the game and I hope you can defer some of your expenses LOL. I would have liked to have put some money on the Browns before the season, man, somebody made some money on those guys.

I bet against the hawks all the time. We as hawks fans, know our teams tendencies better than most. This gives us an advantage when wagering either for or against them. They've failed to cover the spread the past 6 weeks, with the exception being against the Giants.

I mis read the odds, didn't realize I would have lost if KC didn't cover the 2 PT. spread until after the game got started. If Pete would have kicked the FG on that 4th and goal from the 2 like he should have, then it would have been a lose-lose for me. I still about came out of my chair when he went for it, KC hasn't given up a rushing TD all year. Stupidest game management decision Pete's made this season. Still had lots of fun, even made friends with a Niners fan and got to do some friendly trash talking with some Broncos fans that had a very quiet session in their corner of the bar.

I'm able to do local parlay cards once in awhile, and this was a terrible week for wagering altogether.
As a rule, I try hard to stay away from Seahawk games, but understand your philosophy.

I got Crushed this week - only picked 2 correct on a 6 team Teaser, lol.

A friend of mine did better - 3 out of 4 on a four team parlay (Hou, Chi, KC, and...the Saints, lol).
