OT LOWLY RAIDERS BEAT K.C. CHIEFS

Postby Seahawks4Ever » Thu Nov 20, 2014 9:48 pm

The team that Seattle couldn't manage to defeat just got defeated by the worst team in the NFL. Maybe we "softened" up K.C., right? I hope we didn't start a streak of our own last Sunday because I don't see even one win on the rest of our schedule the way the team has been playing. This game sows that a real NFL offense CAN throw the ball down field against the Chiefs, too bad our QB couldn't do the same. Oh, I guess many are going to say that Oakland has a better O-Line and better Receivers than the Seahawks?

Yay Derek Carr!!!!! The Raiders are the worst team in football if all you look at is Wins & losses, which is what most people do. Their d is more solid than the average fan believes & Carr has a real chance.

I hate the Raiders, but glad for this win.

Any given Sunday (or Thursday).

GO HAWKS!!!!!

As much as I wanted to see Alex complete the comeback, I couldn't help but enjoy the Raiders win! Love the underdog (unless the Seahawks are the favorites of course!)

As a side note, Charles Woodson is the first player in NFL history with 20 sacks and 50 INTs (58 to be exact).
Some career for that man.

My son you are the saddest man I have encountered in a long time. Is your first name Eeyore? You have little faith. Has Satan taken away all of your Seahawks joy. Call 1-800-Vatican. we can help. Keep the faith my boy.

I actually was at this game tonight in Oakland, via a season ticket holding neighbor who comped me a ticket.
It was a fun game to watch, and the fans there were going nuts, as you would expect.

In terms of us losing to KC and the Raiders beating them, the visiting team on TNF has not done well this season (4-8 overall).

You could make a good case that had this been a regular Sunday 1pm matchup, the Chiefs would've been a better rested road team and likely would have won the game, which they nearly did anyway after being down 17-3 in the 3rd quarter.

There is Absolutely no shame in us losing in Arrowhead. Had we played the Chiefs at The Clink, then I think we'd be sitting at 7-3. Big difference between home and road games - for Anybody in the NFL.

There is no shame in losing in this league period. Hawks are about 3 plays from being 9-1. I have always hated winless teams and Seattle had to fight hard to hold off the Raiders a few weeks ago. I saw the game last night coming, divisional foe, pruime time, wounded animal after being beat up in a tough win and on a short week. It means its the NFL.

Hey Einstein. Its the NFL. That was what's called a "trap game" for KC. And what's your point. Our QB beat the Raiders? U make no sense whatsoever.

Russ threw for 300 and rushed for 100 vs. the Rams a few weeks back. Unfortunately he doesn't play special teams. But Mr. all world Payton Manning was held to 7 points and didn't even possess the ball in the red zone in 60 minutes vs. that team. He got his 300 yards alright, along with 2 picks and a lost fumble. So what does that mean? Mr. all world god of the forward pass got embarrassed by a team that was so scared of giving the ball to the midget Wilson that they went for a fake punt on their 18. Russ carved them up like a Christmas turkey.RW is not only a SB winning QB and unquestioned leader, he is the 14th leading RUSHER in the NFL.He was the best QB on the field last Sunday. He doesn't tackle unfortunately, or block or call plays. It isn't all on him but he does more than his share. But it wont stop moaning whining miserable fans like you from coming in and spewing drivel.

Dude change your name it sounds idiotic attached to your hateful vitriol. You are a troll of the worst kind, a self loather. With fans like you the Hawks don't need any enemies.

I am no troll, I have been a fan probably before some of you were born. I have attended games since their inception. But I refuse to accept mediocrity, and I see our team drifting downward and not upward. Do you really believe we are going to win Sunday?? Really, what makes you believe we can beat the Cardinals other than the game is at the CLINK, because that is no longer a guarantee.

They say the key last night for the Oakland defense to stopping Alex Smith was forcing him to throw outside the hash marks because his is not very good at it. Why in the %$#* didn't our defense force Smith to throw outside? With the vaunted Richard Sherman on the left and Maxwell on the right that should have been no problem, right??

You mention RW rushing for a 100 yards and throwing for 300 yards. That is the only time he has thrown for 300 yards all season, correct?

We were all told that Wilson could throw for more yards if the situation called for it but because of the great running game and the stalwart defense it wasn't necessary.

Well, guess what EINSTIEN, there have been games lately where we needed to out score our opponents and it would have been nice if Wilson could have thrown for a few more yards, but dude struggles to get over 200 let alone even approach 300. We need a QB that can move the chains with his arm as well as his legs. I give him props for what he can do with his legs and his leadership but I a trend that has developed where he seems incapable of throwing the ball (consistently) DOWN the field. I am NOT going to put all of the blame on the O-Line and/or receivers that most of you are want to do. Wilson has had enough time. Oh, and while he has had success running the ball this season he has also been sacked when he couldn't make up his mind whether to throw the ball or tuck the ball under his arm and go for it, or do you just turn a blind eye to those plays?

Yada, Yada, Yada we could be 9-1 if not for 3 plays. Yeah, and we could have been 8-8 or even 7-9 last season if not for a few plays that went our way. You could say that about every team every season. I am sure that the Raiders could have looked at several plays if they had gone the other way they wouldn't have had a 16 game losing streak. That is just a cop out.

What frustrates me is that yes, all of our losses could of, nay, should have been wins but instead were losses and while I never expected to win all of those I expected them to win a few of those but they couldn't get the job done.

Maybe I will stop posting for a while if you all don't like me criticizing Russell Wilson, at least until the end of the season or when we are eliminated from play off contention just to see if you are all still "all in" with Pete & Co.

Your whole rant got lost in the first paragraph. Smith threw for 108 TOTAL YARDS in our game. Yep, Smith wasn't throwing inside the hash marks OR outside the hash marks. You lose more and more credability every time you say stuff like that ( and maybe that is why you are viewed as you are, just an idea) I'm sure there is more to laugh at in that post, but simply put, there just isn't any reason to read beyond that first "insightful" statement, which is based in La La land, and has nothing factual to back it up.

I was glad to see the Raiders break the streak but would have LMAO if that celebration after the third down sac would have turned into a big winning toss by Smith while defenders were still celebrating.

Boy, does the OAK/KC outcome make our loss to KC stick in my craw.

Why?

I remember when as Seahawks fans all we had to hang our hats on was that kind of "we beat the guys who beat the guys" or "we beat both of last year's SB teams" math, but we ain't gotta even go there anymore!

I was wondering the same. You cannot see wins and losses based on that, simply can't.

Eh, I don't know- I guess it just makes our game feel even more like one we should have had.

I know it's not entirely rational... :)

Weird year this year, teams like STL stomping Denver, squeaking by Seattle with trick plays, and SF on the road, getting trashed at home against SF, crushed by KC etc or Dallas beating Seattle at home soundly, but dropping a game at home to SF and Washington, across the board in the NFL, it is difficult to tell what teams are the "good" teams from week to week.

Different days, matchups, venues, weather etc causes differing outcomes ( and always has hence the whole "any given Sunday" thing) there are going to be some teams that have zero business missing the playoffs doing so, and some that definitely do not belong making it. Wouldn't sweat to greatly a loss in KC ( was one I predicted coming into the season, though, I didn' see any of the other three, losing on the road in KC at that awesome 10 am slot, in a stadium they always struggle in, isn't something to fret, at least not more than a STL snookering, or a Dallas home loss).

Thats a great post. You could add Ben throwing for 12 TDs in back to back games then disappearing a week later. Brady got benched against KC .Imagine that a hall of fame classic 300 ypg QB got DRILLED in KC and now they are #1 in the power rankings. This season has been a tough one to try and predict. Who knows maybe the Hawks will wind up back on top of the heap at the end of the next 6 weeks. Lets start it Sunday.

Ill be a 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
