Perhaps I should give him a little more credit- those who don't read far enough might take that away.
However:
The takeaway from his article for me (and I think most readers) isn't so much that the Hawks play with a reckless style- it's that the Hawks have consciously decided they'll commit penalties on virtually every play and dare the refs to slow the game down calling them all**.
The former is reasonable- the latter is nonsense.

2 Problems with that post Burr: first you assume that most people interpret the article the same as you do and secondly that you say that if someone were to see it differently it must be because they didn't read the whole article.
Condescend much?
I read the whole article and while the digs were obvious, they were not my primary takeaway from it. His begrudging respect (for both coaches) even as he was stirring the sh!tpot, was. I don't mind being a team that plays on the edge, especially if it's on the edge of how aggressive teams are allowed to be.
Sure I also disagree with the author about inundating the game with too many penalties for all of them to be called as a strategic goal of either coach, but so what? Writers say stupid sh!t all the time, I don't mind ignoring that aspect.
