With the bye coming up next week, it would be vital for us to get this win and avoid an serious injuries as most of our players should be ready after the bye. For example, ever since Robbie Ouzts has been on IR our run game hasn't been that effective, and I believe his blocking certainly opened up the run game, of course the few games he played.
As for our Secondary, there hasn't been a definitive designation on Spoon, Love, or Riq if they will suit up for the Monday night showdown. I know Love went from Full Participation in practice, and the following day back to Limited Participation, and like Spoon he is still listed as Questionable.
Texans are winners of their last two after losing their first three, and propose a real challenge as their defense only gives up an average of 12.2 pts per game(best in the NFL) and 3rd best in the league in yards allow per game. They have a stout defense, and Derek Stingley Jr is true shutdown corner. For their offense they have group of quick shifty WRs, and but also have a lack luster run game. Where their real issue comes in, is when they are in the Red Zone. They bottle up and are 21st in the league in Redzone TD Efficiency.
The Texans have shown to be a solid defense, and I think this is a game where we lose at home in a close low scoring battle. Once again it's a home game thing, and until Mike Macdonald can ready the team at home as he does for road games, I see our home games still a chink in the armor. I can see a lot of plays called back from penalties, and the Texan's Defense will game plan to shut JSN down. I think JSN will get a decent share, but someone else will have to step up to help our offense put points. Both teams, like to bleed the clock down, and play stout defense. So I wouldn't expect a ton of scoring.
Hawks 16
Texans 19

Wouldn't it be 9pm local time for the Texans if they haven't adjusted to the time? It won't finish until midnight for them.
NorthHawk wrote:This should be an interesting game. Both teams have the potential to play real good football on both sides but each have had some struggles at times.
The outcome will depend on who gets it together better and we haven't played well at home.

River Dog and me are going to the Commanders game (with my wife, step son, son and nephew). We are 9-0 in the last 9 road games we have attended (Atlanta last year the most recent).

The score flattered Houston. The strip sack on Darnold and the fumble return fumbled into the End Zone for a Touchback is a 14 point swing so that would make it 34-12. But that's how games go sometimes and the Seahawks gutted out a win at home.
Defensively we are real strong. Houston isn't playing that well on Offense but the Seattle DL really came to play and took care of business. It's really nice to see a team continually getting stuffed on short yardage.
