Did you see that play where the Chief's rookie lineman obviously released his hold on T. Brady, allowing Brady to score near the goal line? Certainly, he should have paid more attention to whether Brady had actually gotten rid of the ball or not but it was also obvious he was paranoid about being called for a penalty. These new rules are killing the game. Way too much for the defenders to have to think about.
The new rule about tacklers not being able to land with full body weight on quarterbacks? I can't believe they instituted that one! I agree with the part of it that has to do with not picking the quarterback up off the ground, that's easy enough to stop doing. But having to shift your weight to the side to avoid landing on him with full tonnage is absurd. That's just too hard to do in the moment.
