So RS25 returns to Seattle this weekend, and saw the following article today as a reporter asked about his relationship with RW3.

Not surprising really that these 2 don't stay in touch. I know it's talked about alot, we all know the story of the apparent "rift" between some players concerning Wilson. And from what I have read, that might be directly related to how Pete treated Wilson, not so much Wilson's fault of any kind. But Sherm, from what I know of him, does not seem like the type to sugarcoat anything, and I think he was probably hard on Wilson throughout his time here. I think they were 2 teammates who respected each other tremendously and played together during a Super Bowl season, so you will always have a bond there no matter how you felt.
In the grand scheme of things, getting rid of Sherman (and Bennett) appears to be what was needed for the team to move forward, specifically for Pete to coach to his most effectiveness. I think we all hoped his coaching style and messages would get through again to younger, hungrier, less proven talent looking to get 2nd contracts, and I would say so far it has worked out.
I hope the team does a video tribute of some sort for Sherm and let's the 12's show their appreciation. He was one of my favourite players, regardless of how he acted sometimes, I will take a player on my team who will do or say anything to win, so long as it doesn't cross the proverbial line which I don't think Sherm ever did to an opponent. He probably went over the line moreso with his coaches the last couple years, you just know that play in 49 is something he never got over. Sherm fit this defense perfectly and is/was an incredible talent on the field with his smarts and skill.
Sherm strikes me as a guy who probably rolled his eyes alot and shook his head at what Wilson is as a person off the field and the attention he gets for it. I know that probably rubbed some teammates the wrong way and I get that, and I think that is probably why they really don't stay in touch. Two different people.
