The Fluker injury is how seasons get derailed.

Keeping fingers crossed for good news.

Extremely glad that it is a hammy though and not something worse. Maybe a week or two out and then back at it for him.

Depending on the severity, he could be back in a couple of weeks or it could last for months.
I thought Calitro played pretty well at OLB. Maybe that's a good spot for him, but Kendricks should be back for the game against the Vikings and we have to shore
up the run Defense. From what I've read lately, Zimmer is annoyed that they aren't running more and Dalvin Cook could be real trouble for us.

I'm not an expert but I think for the OL guys who aren't sprinting up field every down like a WR or a RB I think the hammy can still be a bit sore and still play ok. I think it will depend on if we need the wins week 15, 16, and 17 to get "in".

I'm just not sold on Calitro, he seems to tackle high and let the RB get extra yards after contact and sometimes picks the wrong hole to clog up. I'd really like to see KJ but it might be time to give up on him (although if he could make a run at it, he'd be real rested) and go with Kendrycks as long as we can.

I was at yesterday's game and didn't have the opportunity to comment about posts made in this thread, but here's a couple general observations about the game:

WTF are we doing calling a timeout in our first drive on a 4th and 1 at midfield? Why don't we have a short yardage play ready to go should we decide to go for it in a situation like that and/or why can't we have thought about what our decision would be if we had such a situation early in the game? I get so frustrated with us burning timeouts unnecessarily. It's my largest single complaint about Schot.

My only complaint about Russell's performance is his taking a long, stupid sack on a 1st and goal from the one. It's easy to throw the ball away when you're at the one and he had two more downs to burn. Outside of that one mistake, he played a nearly flawless game, one of his best of the season.

Bobby Wagner surprised me with his speed on the garbage time pick 6. I knew he was quick and had good instincts, but I didn't realize how fast his flat out speed was.

The crowd was exceptionally quiet with very little electricity. It's not like it was 5 or even 3 years ago. I guess us Hawks fans have gotten so used to success that we're not as hungry as we once were. We made as much noise in London as we did in Seattle.

I saw more 49'er fans than I expected. I've been to a game in Santa Clara and have seen all the empty seats for their games there so I was expecting a turnout similar to Rams and Chargers games.

There wasn't much happening in here either River. If you skip past Anthony's posts like I do it only takes you about 2 minutes to read the whole game thread.

Was also at the game. The observation about the crowd is absolutely correct. I've been to at least a game and usually multiple each season for over 20 years, and that is the quietest and least involved Seattle fans have been in a game I've ever witnessed. Including their 2-14 season and the forgotten Mora year....

Another observation from the game, Seattle can't tackle on the back end anymore, and both corners are struggling, and played horribly. Serious improvement is needed throughout the secondary, even McDougald played exceptionally poorly. If that was a playoff caliber QB, and not a 3rd string practice squad QB in his third game, he might have thrown for 800 yards, instead of the paltry four hundy that kid put on us.

And I counted.... 7 posts including final four, not supplied by he who likes the sound of his own voice more than rational evaluation.

Yea, I guess I ought to go back through this thread and see if I can find the blatantly obvious reason for Russell taking that 1st and goal at the 1 sack (bad hammy maybe?) and see if I can find it during my replay of the game like I did last week with the excuse for Russell missing a wide open Baldwin in the end zone from 15 yards out. I don't have slo-mo on my replay device so it's hard for me to see what's obvious to Anthony.
