The desperation spinouts are few and far between, and Wilson’s clearly become more comfortable manipulating the pocket to give himself the best chance to make a throw downfield.

Wilson still takes a few too many sacks, but he’s done a good job of stifling his first instinct to escape.

Wilson bailed from clean pockets at the slightest hint of pressure, dropping his eyes in the face of oncoming pass rushers or spinning away right into an edge defender.

Yeah it is, unlike some posts that basically are nothing but negative stuff, this one makes some points, that while minor have some legitimacy, but more importantly make it clear that those issues are disappearing as he gets more used to actually having a pocket, something he did not have much most of his career. Unlike some who would say he does not do this or that spin out, leave a clean pocket etc, this article makes it clear those were not issues of his own doing with this "Playing behind a series of terrible pass-blocking offensive lines over the past couple of seasons, Wilson developed a few pretty bad habits." making it clear these issues were a by-product of playing behind a horrible oline something some refused to give validity to. A huge difference between that and the severe negativity that some most. All in all, now that the oline is at least middle of the pack, both PFF and Footballousdiers have them ranked 18th in pass blocking, he can now trust it enough to stand pat, despite still being the 4th most pressured QB in the league.

Be interesting to see how some try to spin this to suit their narrative about Wilson. Hopefully, they will just man up and admit their wrong or say nothing, but I am guessing that will not happen.

Hmm seems someone here tried to blame it all on Wilson and said the oline was fine, HMM seems as expected he was wrong. Avg pass block ranking of our oline over Wilson times in seattle #26th. like the article said due to the horrible oline play Wilson got a few bad habits, but like any ELITE player he has worked them out as th eline has gotten better, and despite the horrific oline play of the past few years he still performed at ELITE levels. nough said

Yes the naysayers were as good at denying the line was terrible as you were at denying Russ had a hint of a problem in his game which was caused in large part by said TERRIBLE line. It was really quite amazing they won 9 games last year but it was nauseating to watch.

I think some kudos are in order for PC and JS as well. Schottenheimer has proven to be a really good play caller. The line has been much better although the Fluker thing is a bummer.Bringing in guys like Jaron Brown, David Moore, Ed Dickson has allowed the receiving corps to flourish even with a banged up Baldwin. McAvoy has stepped up with some big catches but the real coup was getting Lockett under contract.

I was a critic of paying 10 million a year for what was a role player guy but he's gone off. He and Russ have combined for an astonishing PERFECT passer rating on throws over 20 yards minimum of 10 targets, once again proving Russ has the best prettiest wrinkle free deep ball in the league. The defense is still a work in progress but has been ball hawking and made big stops in critical moments despite the jettisoning of numerous big names via trades, cuts, or injuries forcing retirements.

The Hawks started the season as 27th in the power rankings and now sit 7th last I checked. They are on the cusp of making the tourney and making some noise if they get there but they need 3 of the last 4 IMO to get there so lets keep it going Russ and Co! My kid said they were going 11-5 before the season and i'm not ruling it out. We will learn a lot on Monday.

Wilson is elite ever since our Superbowl win vs Broncos in 2013. He also has many playoff appearances and is on a win streak and will beat the Vikings on Monday .
