Rams Clinched the NFC West Title

Postby idhawkman » Mon Dec 03, 2018 11:13 am

This could bode bad for the Rams. With 4 games to play, they can't take their foot off the gas and yet they can't play "Not to get hurt". This is going to be an intersting 4 games with the most interesting week when they play the Bears #1 defense.

It was inevitable, but if they stay relatively healthy, it might not have much impact.

If & when they lock up HFA throughout, they may rest starters. Until then, I don't see them taking their foot off of the gas pedal.

Personally, always preferred a little hiccup at the end of the year headed into the postseason, a reminder to remain focused, and that any team can lose to any other team on any given day.

No matter what team it is, no matter how good they look, they can be beaten. Teams that don't deal with that make me leery in the postseason. They are likely going to have a bad game at some point.

I agree. I went to the AZ game in Dec 13, one of RWs worst games ever at that point in his career, Hauschka wasting a pick on their 5 by missing a 22 yard FG, wasted multiple turnovers, game ended on a Baldwin "forearm fumble". My buddy was so pissed about the loss after we spent all that money. I said "dale if were hoisting the lombardi in a month it will have been well worth it. " And sure enough.....

Rams are honored to represent the NFC west in the playoffs and SB this season.

I just got through watching the Saints play the Bucs, and the Saints don't look nearly as invincible as they did just a couple weeks ago. It will be interesting watching the Rams-Bears tonight, but I'm beginning to think that the NFC could be wide open.

Our Monday night matchup is going to be even more interesting. This is essentially a play-in game, meaning we have a clear path to the playoffs should we win. If we dispatch the Vikings like I think we will, then the sky is the limit. I'd love to get the Rams down there in a rematch.

I would say things will go south for you guys starting tomorrow.

No way Vikings lose a must win...down ya go 28-13

Next week the Niners are looking great today and will hammer you back..SF - 29 Sea 10

KC a wipeout 43-14

Arz has strong D and ghost of Bruce will be at your house Cards 13 Sea 3

Final Record 7-9

Go ahead and weep

The Rams played today like a team that had already clinched a division. Unmotivated! Bears' defense is awesome! I don't think they will go deep in the playoffs, however, should they get there, for lack of offense.

Did my heart good to see how NE got beat there on the last play. Patriots are not as dominant this year as they have been. They can be beat.

Bears, Dallas, and Indy are dangerous teams. Glad to see Indy playing well again. I have a lot of respect for Andrew Luck.

Actually, with today's results, there's already a clear path in, and beating the Vikings doesn't change that. Win against SF and Arizona, Seattle is in.... regardless of outcome in MNF...

Don't get me wrong, I much prefer a victory now as opposed to creating two "must win" divisional games, just information.

Do you ever change your tune, or are you simply incapable of remembering from week to week being wrong?

Goff looked downright pedestrian tonight. Your world class RB gets 11 carries for 28 yards.. I'd be a lot more worried about your own team, than the Seahawks right now.

Congrats on your NFC West Title --- didn't mean squat last year and won't again this year, but congrats. The Coliseum has zero home field advantage for your team. Seahawk fans will dominate if we see you again.

In all honesty, the Coliseum has never been good for the Rams, even when Chuck Knox was there.

It was refreshing to watch a game that featured some semblance of defense vs. the glorified arena football games we've been treated to this season, such as Ramblow's greatest game ever. Just as the talking heads predicted in the pregame discussions, the Bears took away the Rams running attack and forced them to beat them via the pass.

However, I wasn't impressed by the Bears, either. Mitchell Turbisky is still horrible! If they don't get some better play out of their QB, they ain't going anywhere in the playoffs.

Saints are back in the driver's seat for HFA, but they didn't look invincible, either. NFC is wide open!
