Carolina and Viking games showed something big!

Postby Anthony » Tue Dec 11, 2018 4:28 pm

So in the Carolina game, they took away the run and we killed them in the air. IN the Viking game they took away the pass, and we killed them on the ground. We have now shown we can win, either way, pick your poison. Now throw in what else we showed last night that being the defense can be special. If I am a playoff team I don't want to face the Hawks.

gag me with a spoon!

LOL so your team pulled off a handful of tricks and bad calls against the Vikes

the blocked punt was up there with what the NFL is not about

u r always whining about calls but all seem to go your way esp at home

Nope not a playoff team, if u make it done in one

When did cramming the ball down somebody's throat become a "trick"?

Most have missed the memo.... hell, Seattle told the vikings prior to the game they were going to, ..then proceeded to do it. You know, kind of like they did to the Rams... twice this season...

Probably when it happens to his team and he doesn't get to see his team score like a pin ball game. "Waaaaa, they're cheating.... Waaaaa, they aren't giving us the ball... Waaaaaa" Sounds pretty much like you would think a Ram would sound like.

Yea, I don't remember a whole lot of "trick" plays in that game, except maybe for Bobby's leap on a FG attempt. I'm also not clear on what kind of "tricks" it was that we pulled out of the hat that kept the Vikings on their side of the 50 for about the first 2/3 of the game.

We fielded 6 offensive linemen for something like 60% of our offensive plays, so if that's not saying to the world that we're going to run the ball, I don't know what is.

Do you think it is possible that he was referring to the Bears running trick plays against the Rams? They did convert that fake punt which was actually short of the line to gain.... Oh wait, that's right, that was the Rams....

Help I'm being spammed by Rambo . He keeps posting here telling me the glory of the Rams. Trolls can't talk about anything else but their own team and the enemy.

River, 60% wow that's good I hope they keep it going this whole season, besides adjustments for the opposition play by play.

This could be the start of something big this season. We shall see . Go Hawks !!!

If you go to the Seahawk's dot com site, watch the breakdown video by Baldy on Fant's catch. IT IS HILLARIOUS! But the main thing I saw was how Fant and the Oline absolutely demolished the Vikes DL.

I didn't see their reaction, but apparently the Hawks bench went absolutely bananas laughing at Fant's catch and his subsequent tripping over his own feet. A play like that could really help unite this team. We are all painfully aware that there were times in the past where the offense and defense were at odds with each other.

This current edition is beginning to grow on me, and although there's still work to be done, I think that we could do some real damage in the playoffs. Just tell Russell to play underneath his shoulder pads. :D

I know you don't like my predictions but I feel this team is about where the 2012 team was and had we gotten past the Falcons who knows what would have happened. I still curse that stupid prevent defense we did with Bradly in that game.

It's not that I don't like your predictions, it's that they are usually wrong...in that "other" forum.

As far as your analogy of this year's team vs. the 2012 edition, I think it's valid. The 2012 team seemed to mature midway through the season just like this one seems to be doing. The 2012 team was a wild card entrant, just like this one is. The one thing that this team has yet to do that the 2012 team did was get a big signature win like the 2012 team did against the 49'ers on SNF in the 2nd to last weekend of the regular season. The 2018 team has exactly that same opportunity when we play the Chiefs in Week 16.
