It's so cool to watch this clip from 4 years ago, knowing where are standing today. Here he is, Mr. Rah rah rah Pete Carroll being introduced as the new Executive VP and Head Coach of the Seahawks on January 12, 2010. We were all still hung over after the Mora episode. But if you listen to his words, he lays out EXACTLY his vision for the Seahawks, from his leadership style, to the kind of offense he wants to run (before Beast Mode was a thought in Seattle), player treatment, open practices...it's all there. But most of all, the role of COMPETITION in his vision for his program. The most charming part to me is when he admitted he had never been to Qwest Field, but that he knew about the 12th Man, and that he felt they would be an asset to his defense on third downs. Third downs - are you kidding me? How about EVERY down!
