So for all you athletic supporters out there with a Seahawks logo on them who can't breathe because there is not enough national attention ... please stop leaking with your support.
Forbes reported that the NFLPlayesInc statistics showed that the Hawks QB sold more bucks worth of overall licensed products from over 70 licensees than any other NFL player this past season.
The VP of Licensing for the NFLPI said "He absolutely is a national player. His product is selling everywhere". Yeah, it's a billion dollar biz.
Still not enough national wallet recognition for this team?
Marsh the Lynch came in as seventh highest in gross sales ... the only non-QB in the top ten.
And the Sherman Thanks, and the Sherman Ranks, and the Sherman Banks came in at #12, barely beaten out by JJ Watt ... and Sherman has a much more highly publicized off season.
My guess is that if you cheked the cash registers and their sales for the past week, that 3, count 'em 3, Hawks players would be in the top ten.
Go back four years, and you probably would not find anyone from this franchise in the top 25, not 1, count 'em none.
There were lots of 8's and 51's, but many were faded.
No, I don't think the organization will be discounting your season tickets as a result next year, either.

When did you get a "Zoom 00"? What happened to "O. Schmitt 35"?

Curious as well, even googled it to find out, unfortunately, while the question was asked numerous times, there was no definitive answer. 50/50 yes and no, with no links, and even the "yes" said the amount was so insignificant as to not matter ( after the NFL AND TEAM got their cut). So I'm going with even IF they get a percentage, it doesn't matter, otherwise players that change their names or jersey numbers wouldn't have to "buy" out the remaining stock to do so, without having their percentage cover that cost. "Hitner" hasn't changed his even though he changed his name legally, Peterson wanted to change his number I guess a few years back but decided the cost was to great etc.
if someone actually knows the answer that would be a cool thing to know, but like I said, pretty sure it is insignificant to the point as to be irrelevant one way or another...

PasAltaDena: Mr. O. Schmitt is now running "Schmitt's Saloon" in Morgantown, WV. Live music some nights. David Allan Coe who wrote "Take This Job and Shove It", "You Never Even Call Me By My Name" and "Long Haired Redneck" played there last week. He's given up the mohawk for a shaggy hairdo and full beard. So, he's still affiliated with Runaway Beer Trucks.
Anybody willing to bang their head to spew blood in a team meeting is good by me. Any coming up in the draft?

There was some beer being tossed from The Nest in the first playoff game, and the cop standing behind us was not happy about it. He made a trip up into the stands a few minutes after the shower which inaugurated the 00.
But, we'll get a game in, Dog, hopefully early on.
