Oh well, we still need blocking.

I don't know Obi, pretty big difference between 4.3 and 4.5 Speed. Seems to me the faster guy ( especially one that produced 1300 yards and 10 TD's with little to no help) would be the better player to stretch the field. Being described as a poor mans Desean Jackson, which works for me. I get a little nervous about receivers that have trouble gaining separation, which is one of the knocks on Lee ( at least according to NFL network).

Well just waiting to hear. They got that pick in very, very quick.... ( Miami is still trying to replace their douche lineman, and makes me a little nervous as well)....

Richardson is Harvin's future replacement, and Harvin's health will determine how quickly the future arrives.

They want someone to step up in case they have to cut Harvin after the season (please please please).

Im guessing we also try him as PR

Yeah but he was the 290th player on USA todays board. He was listed in the undrafted category. I don't know I think they guy out of Nev was a no brainer if you wanted a nasty mauler type.
Here's the book on him.
32. (64) Seattle Seahawks: Justin Britt, T Missouri

Quick take: With Breno Giacomini signing with the Jets in the offseason, the Seahawks had a hole at right tackle. Britt played left tackle during his career with the Tigers, but the Seahawks will move him to the strongside. Britt is a smart technician that can play both tackle spots if Russell Okung becomes injured at some point

I thought Maycock' s " that's a Seattle pick, but they have done a better job than I have.... " comment was pretty funny, little surprising as he was rated as a 5-6th round prospect, but as I pointed out during the initial "oh no our line is horrid" stage, this FO and staff value versatility at an insane level ( in MULTIPLE positions I might add) so I'm not surprised. Add in he is a built in Okung insurance policy and it makes sense, in a round about way.... Learned to just buckle in, hold on tight and enjoy the ride with this FO.... WWheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...... :)

Here's the NFLDraftScout take:
Overview

Much of Missouri's success in 2013 was attributed to their defensive line (and rightfully so), but the offensive line also stepped up their play in their second season of SEC competition with Britt leading the way.

Coming off of a 2012 campaign shortened due to multiple serious leg injuries, Britt earned All-SEC accolades from the coaches (Second Team) and media (First Team) alike at the all-important left tackle position. With 24 starts at left tackle and six at right tackle, Britt has the experience against top competition necessary to make him an easy projection to the NFL. Still, considering the injuries he had in 2012, scouts were disappointed when Britt was unable to participate in the East-West Shrine Game.

If convinced he's healthy, Britt could earn middle round consideration as his length, tenacity and initial shove are undeniable.

STRENGTHS: Looks the part of today's prototypical left tackle, possessing impressive height, very long arms and a trim middle. Good initial quickness, especially as a run blocker, firing off the ball to turn and seal defenders from the action. Physical. Gets a strong initial shove on the opponent, which oftentimes is enough to knock them onto their heels.

He has a wide base with good bend and flexibility in his kick-slide to keep the pocket clean. Plays with his knees bent, butt down and on the balls on his feet, giving him good balance. Slides well laterally to mirror defenders and uses his arm length and powerful shoves to keep opponents at bay. Good awareness and competitive spirit. Peels back to knock down unsuspecting defenders in pursuit of ball-carriers.

Experienced left and right tackle and some view him as a potential guard convert due to his power and tenacity.

Our FO hasn't shown the ability to assemble an Offense as dominant as they have on Defense.
I doubt it's possible to do that, but as long as we solidify the OL, the Offense will have a chance to significantly improve.
4th round Guard, maybe with one of their 2 picks?

Has that been done before? #1 In D aand O? I kind of doubt the staff puts the emphasis on certain aspects of the offense that many do( for instance, passing yards and total yards are vastly over rated stats), I don't think they care about yards seems to me the emphasis is on not turning the ball over and scoring points, which at least to me seems like a decent emphasis. Not sure they are looking to score 60 every game think their thought process seems to be score more than the other guys, and right now that is somewhere between the low and mid twenties.

Not sure it's ever been done before, but we should aspire towards it.
With 6 division games against very good or dominating DLs, our OL has to step it up if we want to have a chance to repeat.

We got lucky with our abysmal OL numbers last year. As you said NH, we better step it up this season if we are to go to the big dance next season.
It won't get any easier.

Come on Eagle, there is no way, you can say the Seahawks "lucked" into a Lombardi with a straight face, if anything they had "bad luck" throughout with the numerous injuries the Seahawks had to overcome, especially along that offensive line.

Funny I was talking with a friend about the Hawks draft. I told him they never take anyone I would think of and again they proved it to me. So I now just sit back see the picks land and then see what happens in the year. They have their vision and so far every year the team has got better. Lets hope year 5 brings us a back-to-back year. Now won't that set those draft-nicks on their ear.

Here's a quote from Tom Cable...

" He’s just my kind of guy,” Seattle offensive line coach Tom Cable said. “He’ll compete [to start] at right tackle with Michael Bowie. Justin was 45-0 as a heavyweight wrestler in high school. He an ornery, mean guy.”

Cable said he knew Britt could play at the pro level when he saw him take on Jadeveon Clowney last season.

“I got excited watching him play Clowney,” Cable said. “It wasn’t too big for him and he was very physical with [Clowney]. As I studied him, the traits of toughness and competiveness kept jumping out at me.”

I hope he didn't feel the same way about Carp when we drafted him.

And just a follow up "piggy back" funny comment, when Santa Clara made their pick of Hyde the comment was " that's a Niner pick, he had some OFF FIELD problems that cost him some games" . LOL. Maycock was on a roll....... should fit right in ;)

They must like him, I surrender!! The WR thing I still think was a mistake. We will have to wait 7 months to see if Lee is as good as I think.

Or maybe "THINK" they are looking at.
Part of the draft is deception as well Monkey. Our first pick was on no one's radar.
Typical PC baby! But I like it, if its one thing last season taught me, speed is very important at the WR position. He ain't no midget at 6feet either.

Love it.

I'm just glad we at least addressed 2 positions of need.

Last year, I felt we wasted our first selection on Christine Michael who, while maybe becoming a decent back for the future, will have plenty of competition to take over for Lynch by the time Beast retires anyway. When a team's 1st choice doesn't get on the field - especially at that position - it's more or less wasted, IMO. It also wasn't a position of need, which was the main problem anyway.

Richardson and particularly Britt have good shots at contributing right away.

Z76 we are in agreement again. And in particular with Michael. Sure he may contribute but the guy is not playing, and just collecting a check on the bench. Of course that check is insurance against a Lynch injury which is truly remarkable in that Lynch does run and hits the holes like a beast and does not leave the lineup due to injury, while Okung blocks guys and for whatever reason is out every year for a few games. The irony of it all.
