Pete is usually pretty clever with these. It almost seems too obvious, but then again it wouldn't be a stretch.

Maybe this year he's going obvious thinking everyone will assume it can't be that clear - just to throw people off!

Does he do it in order? I mean, does he only give clues to the first pick, then the second only after that pick is made etc? This guy could fit.

the clues at leastVanderbil, undersized etc , but it should be a later pick, something like the 4 th or 5 th round. Still about 90% sure they trade back or at least try desperately to do that. Guessing Joel Bitonio early in the second ( thinking Jags trade into the 32nd spot to take Bridgewater) swapping seconds, and getting their 3rd.

It's been all about the 1st of their picks.
At 32 it could change in an instant if they trade down or their target is taken prior to their selection.
When they went after Okung, we were near the top in selecting and even in the middle of the draft it could be more obvious.
The exception is if they have in mind someone who conventionally is rated a clear 2nd or mid to late 2nd round pick by the media.

I'm hoping more than anything that Bridgewater or Bortles fall that far because if they do there should be plenty of teams ready to trade up from the early second to get in front of the Texans.

Of course NE will probably be trying to trade back too. It's about the only reason I'll be actually checking into the draft.

Not a huge draft guy, keep an eye on it and understand why some want to play GM, but there is only so much "expert"' analysis I can stand before I puke. So while I find the trades and workings of the draft fascinating, I find the experts aabrasive and annoying, and can't stand the smugness with which the judge the picks ( probably why I am so quick to jump on guys second guessing a SB winning FO on this board as well). More often than not the fans have MORE insight and INTELLIGENCE about picks and moves than the guys spending time watching and analysing the players in the draft, which makes NO sense to me.

just saw on the NFL network them alluding to Seattle trading UP in the first round to take someone? I doubt they do that ( like REALLY doubt it) unless they can do it using some sort of compensatory picks from next years draft ( which they should have a ton of)...... They trade DOWN NFL Network, down not up.

They traded down a lot when building. Now that they need to maintain or tweak areas maybe the thinking is they don't need all of their picks.
We saw that when they traded for Harvin and gave a 7th for Pryor.
We've never seen them in this position before so it might be a philosophy of quality over quantity at this point.
Even though they are champions the team is still fairly young.

A lot of words just to say anything is possible.

Did they say who they would be trading up for? I just don't see it. You don't trade up for a G or a RT. There is only one guy I who I think represents the prototype of exactly what the Seahawks need at a "position of need" (Mike Evans), only two problems. 1. They'd have to move up into the top 10 probably, way too expensive. 2. It's a deep draft at WR.

I agree the talk has gotten out of control at the draft it's more than ever. I used to watch it more when it was on the weekend. It came on early and there was nothing else on TV on Saturday. At night though? I have better things to do. And even if I don't there are better things to watch. I hate the prime time move and the way they keep extending the draft across more days. And like you said... way too much commentary now.

Nope, they alluded to the " will we actually have to wait to pick 32" went to break, came back with a field reporter who said the Hawks always attempt to trade back to garner more picks LOL. So I've now seen the "experts" claim that Seattle's "needs" are DT/ speed TE ( Caserly) and CB ( Maycock), Lmao do these guys even watch any games, or pay attention to the previous years draft? Those aren't "needs", they are luxury choices..... Just reaffrims that as confused by the Seahawks FO choices we all are, the so called experts are flipping and flopping all over the place. They are assuming that they will definitely be unconventional and so are pulling out things opposite their gut ( OL, Receiver) OR they really are as dumb as they always look while professing their knowledge......

I really do believe it will be Guard/ tackle or big bodied receiver taken with the first pick.... I suppose if there is a premier talent player available not at QB there is always that chance, but realistically, IMO they will be "conventional" with their picks in the first part of the draft, since the depth at actual "need" positions are good and solid, they'll gamble as always later in the draft attempting to find "unique" talent players, but the first/second round, I doubt it.

I saw Mayocks mock on NFL.com and truly was in WTF mode. You'd think they'd actually pay attention to the Superbowl champs a little bit. Maxwell played better than either Browner or Thurmond on the outside once he got the job. Thurmond is a better over all corner but Lane is probably as good in the slot which is where he'll play and meanwhile Tharold Simon is lurking. More than that... pay attention to how the built, particularly the corners. Shermain, 5th round. Thurmond, 3rd round, Maxwell, 6th round, Browner, CFL, Simon, 5th round. It's obvious that this team feels like they can (and have) coach up corners.

But somehow because they lost Browner and Thurmond, Mayock thinks they are going to reverse field and go corner in the 1st round? *smh* People acting like Browner was a big loss really baffles me. I think he'll do well in NE across from Revis but honestly speaking even if he was under contract I don't think he'd have made the team this year because Maxwell is better and he can't play in the slot.

Casserly I just have no words... talk about a game passing someone by. Half his picks don't make any sense. I think these older guys, Casserly, Brandt, even Jaworski are really having trouble adjusting to today's game.

The first two lyrics North provided seem close, but they had a pick in so maybe that guy at 32 was someone else, Richardson certainly is "undersized" at least in terms of bulk......maybe they were going to draft him at 32, who knows?.
