Happy 4th of July to everyone here at the shack.

Let freedom - the 12th man - and the Seattle Seahawks - continue to reign throughout the land.

I had kind of a cool 4th!

I live about 15 miles out of Paducah in a nice rural setting, nearest neighbors are across a farmer's field to the east, a half a mile or so to the south and across my three acres of lawn and a nice thick stand of trees to the west and none at all acroos the street to the north. It's been in the 90's (both temp and humidity) and raining all week but cleared up and cooled down to the 70's and 30% just in time for the the 4th ...

We bought about $100 worth of small fireworks and after hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill, building a fire and making smores, we had our own little fireworks show while we waited for the big fireworks we get to see from our backyard from two rich neighbors that try to outdo each other every year ... it wound up being as good a show as I used to see in medium sized cities like Greeley or SLC.

All around great day :)

Old but Slow wrote:Thanks for the fireworks, savvy man, the only ones I'll see tonight. It is too crazy to go out on a night like this. Too many amateurs.

Why won't they let me type savvy man without the space?

Never tired to type my shack name before - comes back as a misspelled word? Maybe the site tools were developed by an ultra-feminist who decided that the words "Savvy" and "Man" do not belong together?
