I know there is a lot of people that disliked Rice whether it be due to money/cost, production, durability etc... and while I questioned how he was going to make this squad due to his inability to play special teams, and that the young receivers were going to push him ( or honestly IMHO surpass him) and felt the only way he could make the squad was to outplay Baldwin or Harvin ( IE play well enough to be the starter) I do respect the guy. He has been nothing but professional, and an excellent mentor for guys like Baldwin, Kearse, Tate etc along the way. When healthy, he was a reliable weapon, and I for one, wish him nothing but the best in whatever he chooses to do with the rest of his life.... ( wouldn't mind seeing him as an asst. On the sidelines to be honest)...
Best of luck Mr. Rice. Thanks for the work.
