Good point. I'm a Harvin owner in Fantasy. I opted to start him in the flex position and I was selfishly choking on all of those call backs. I realize he would have only had 2 as 2 calls were back to back.

We won by double digits on the road in spite of it.

Hawk Sista wrote:Yeas, my dear. That will do. I think Pete wants an UBER AGRESSIVE team in all phases of the game. To the extent that we are penalized on that front, you have a point. The LOS penalties were the killers and I am quite certain it will be addressed in time for this weekend's match-up. If penalties continue to hamper us, it's a fair point.

I was just steaming mad after having watched a game that was HORRIBLY officiated taking points off of the board. It's tough to engage in an objective dialogue after having been so blatantly hosed, for me at least. Despite having a million penalties last weekend, we are still middle of the pack. I'm ok with that. As I've said, I want James to finish off his man like he did on that TD reversal EVERY TIME! The Harvin and Unger penalties were disturbingly bad, too.

Let's revisit this after this weekend and see where we end up. Sorry if I sound snotty and maybe I will check out the website you mention. Have a good weekend.

I can excuse some penalties, such as a pass interference, one of those marginal roughing the passer penalties, and so on. But it's the pre-snap, the late hits (Irvin's late hit on Rivers comes to mind), illegal blocks or holding that wouldn't have influenced a play, etc, that really burn me. I don't get nearly as torqued about bad calls as others because I realize that they're part of the game. Perhaps my tolerance stems from when I played organized sports and was conditioned to not let bad calls be a distraction. I agree that last Monday's game was poorly officiated and that it favored the Skins, but I wasn't "steaming mad."

And no need to apologize, Sis. I did not think your response was at all snotty. I don't mind defending my position with a decent, well mannered poster like yourself. BTW, I like your new avatar, too, and I am sincerely delighted to see you in good health and good spirits.

FYI Seahawks.net is a good forum with a lot more posters, but it's so damn busy, in more ways than one. I only get responses from about half of the posts I author, and I don't like all the clutter in there with everyone having their personal creed attached to all their posts. They have a lot of just plain junk, like a 8'x12' wall with 50 pictures hanging from it. I much prefer this forum, although I wish there were more activity.

Hawk Sista wrote:We haven't had a penalty problem this year, though most in the NFL blame the "new rules" of our style of play. Last night's problems will need to be addressed penalty-by-penalty. Percy in motion wasn't a penalty & Sherm getting mauled was. There were several no calls on Washington where we were called for far less. I think after Pete and Co. Examine each one, they will address it. But I want Carp to finish his man off... Just like he did. This is t a one size fits all answer here. Okung needs to be quicker off the ball. He's lost a step from his mounting injury situation. That was a depression hold, IMO. I hope he returns to pro-bowl form; he can be such a special player.

Exactly.

Penalties are not the biggest issue with this team. One of the least-penalized in the League this season, believe it or not:

Oh, and you look absolutely stunning, Sista.

You are a truly beautiful woman, and I have no doubt that you would be an absolute doll even if you had no hair at all.

Do like 2Pac said, and Keep Ya Head Up, hun.

Praying for you.
