Is anyone sleeping on this season now?

Our chip on the shoulder loving team now finds themselves exactly where they respond best. I saw enough in the second half against the rams to say that I fully expect this team to rise from near ashes. I'm willing to bet that the seahawks make the playoffs. Any takers?

I remember RW's immediate response after the playoff loss to Atlanta two years ago; He was geeked about the future prospects of the team. I was amazed at his ability to capture that perspective in the face of defeat at that moment.

Yesterday, while everyone else felt shock and dismay at the circumstances of the closing minute and the loss; RW walked resolutely with his head high to congratulate Ram players for their win. This kid is something else. Because of him and other leaders in that locker room, I expect a glorious rebound to this season.

The Seahawks are right where they are most comfortable. Them against the NFL world.

I liked what I saw in the 2nd 1/2 of the Rams game. I think they will finish strong, at least 11-5.

I Have Hawks winning 17-14, maybe 20-14. Something in that neighborhood. This is badically a must win for the playoffs, IMO. Which is shocking to say the least.

I wouldn't characterize us as "rising from near ashes". We're 3-3, not 1-5. But I get your point.

Still a long way to go, but today goes a long way in getting back on track.

But AZ continues to beat the teams put in front of them. 12-4 will win the division this year, because neither SF or Seattle are going to finish 12-4 (8-1 for each the rest of the way). Sorry, just ain't gonna happen.

At 6-1, the Cards only need to go 6-3 to finish the season - the same record the 49ers and Seahawks need to reach 10-6 and secure a WC birth, IMO.

We can hope for a meltdown in the desert, but can't bank on it by any means.

And like I said elsewhere, you Punish these guys from the get go. Do Not let them hang around and make it close. They are Desperate for a win, and nobody likes to play teams that are 0-for-the-season at this point.

At this point, I would be more than happy to simply see a complete football game, four full quarters of well executed football, making all the plays that SHOULD be made, with no mental errors on basic plays ( things like, not allowing receivers to somehow mysteriously wander around with no coverage, catching balls in your hands, not jumping offsides , you know simple stuff) I have NO doubt that if they can play a "clean" game, they can win a LOT of them. Carolina was set up to do just that IMHO, simply put, Seattle should have stomped a mud hole in them and walked it dry today, but they continue to refuse to make plays they have made for two full seasons, series after series

I'll take a win, on the road, anyway I can get it each and every time ( after all that really is what seperates good from great football teams IMHO) but catch or cover a g$dDamn ball for f%ck sake......

It was an ugly win, to be sure, but an ugly win is still a win. Captain Obvious, here. We are now even with the niners, and the 'Zonas are playing well, so we are not in bad shape. Especially since we play 'Zona and nina twice.

Most concerning is the injuries. They do seem to be piling up. However, the lines played better today, on both sides. Not as many stupid pre-snap penalties (does Irvin need glasses?), and there were times when RW had time to throw. And we rushed Newton. Couldn't tackle him much, but we made him move his feet.

We have done better on these 10 am games lately, but it really seems that the team does not wake up until the second half. As HC said, it would be nice to see a game where we play well for 4 quarters. Certainly did not today.

Enjoying the win, though, and the next few games will be interesting, with a chance to get some momentum.

Not having Unger and Miller in there really hurts. Miller is a better pass blocker than either of our OT's IMO and not having Unger more than likely cost us a turnover yesterday. Miller is Russell's security blanket. Cam's not the same and not having Wagner puts a huge strain on our D.

Our playoff run starts on the 16th when we travel to KC. That could end up being our toughest road game left on our schedule. Then we get 5 of our last 6 within our division that will make or break our season.

No kidding. I'm always apprehensive but the Raiders game is downright unnerving. They have lost 16 straight games and yet they have often been competitive most games this year. I understand it was preseason but Car absolutely destroyed our base defense look in Oakland. Then we get a Giants team that has been better on the road than at home lots of the time and with a huge axe to grind after being shut out at home last year. And we get everybody's best shot as defending champs. Its going to be a battle to get to the playoffs and the Hawks absolutely cannot let down from here on out.

Yup. Through seven games, not a single opponent has played poorly; I don't expect any opponent to play poorly for the Seahawks to win; I expect the Seahawks to play up to their capability in order to win. By season's end, the adversity that they will have faced will make the Seahawks a better team, but for now I hope that Oakland has their complete attention.
