I am sick to death of good solid football threads devolving into pizzing matches between futurewhatever and his anti-entourage!

I know you guys mean well but if you can't ignore him for the love of god would you please leave the dead-horse thrashing to a single response so those of us that still want to talk subject matter don't have to wade through the tripe to do so? As it is all we can do is start another thread and sure as the Seahawk's eye is green if that turns into anything he'll show up in it and the usual suspects will happily oblige him by burying the content of that thread in garbage too ...

I don't know Bob. The Lynch thread seemed like it was just fighting amongst regulars ( of which I am guilty of engaging) at least the angst isn't directed internally. CPRetu.... errr..... BootNhisars..... er.... Purplestroke....er... Future does his thing, and some ( like me) answer, call it a weakness if you want, but I'm not someone to actively petition to get someone thrown off the board, nor someone to keep his yap shut, so I tend to respond. That said, the amount of responses, as well as how much goes into responding has drastically decreased over the last several months ( at least on my part). I'm fully aware that my last thread would warrant a response by our resident tool... err... Troll.... but I suppose it wasn't really meant to be "football talk" in the first place, I knew where that thread was going, and how it would play out, so I appologise for doing it.

Future has said that all someone has to do, is simply ask him to "leave" and he will and never come back, course, he isn't reallythe type to strike me as a "man of his word" but you could always give it a shot.

I am sorry that I'm one that does it, but I also know that that isn't going to change anytime soon.So I appologise for past, present and FUTURE.

Personally, I try as hard as I can not to take the bait, but don't fault anybody else here for doing what they feel they need to do.

That said, I Love this Seahawks site more than any other. I felt the same way with the PI, even with all the chaos that went on there the last few years or more. I'm at home here, and I love the people that I've "met" through this forum. I think it would be Awesome if we were able to to a "Shack" event, where as many as possible are able to meet in person, just like they do at SeahawkBlue.

Wasn't my intent to step on anyone's toes (well, with one obvious exception), least of all Sista's! I just reached a bit of a boil over point I guess. As soon as he interject's himself into a conversation 80% of the responses become to and about him regardless of subject of the original conversation and 90% of those responses are negative. It just got to be so much bile to go through I said to hell with it.

I just think this is ridiculous. A lot of you shot your mouths off so vehemently about so many different issues, and half the time I only mildly disagreed. Rememeber the whole "preseason" debate about our team's respective offenses? I was in "denial", yadda yadda and the Hawks were just going to tear it up. Hell, I didn't even fight that hard over it even though I knew it was pure crap. Who the hell bases anything off of preseason?

Or, I don't know, the 5 or 6 new threads about our team falling apart per "sources" with links from ESPN, etc? What shut that up was when your own team got a taste of the good ol' source machine, and the spotlight was turned up on them.

Or, let's go here. How about the idea that "the day Future changed" was 42-13. Because "he realized his team's potential dominance had ended and the Hawks had taken it from them". So I'll reverse that: I am a "troll" now only because you have come to realize that your own team's potential dominance already came to an end and there is no dynasty on the way. I of course never expected either and knew all along we had done well to sustain some success in today's NFL. That theory was hokey to begin with, but I could never convince any of you that it was.

My disagreements here always start mild. Some people cannot take the reality v fantasy and they quickly resort to name calling or labeling. True, I am guilty of escalating with those people after it begins. At some point I just got tired of it and decided to quit extending pleasantries and state things as they were, IMO. Ironically, that is the exact opposite if what a "troll" does, for whatever that word is suppose to mean.

But message delivered. Notice I kept this on one thread to refute the pure bullshit premise of it.

Hey Future-boy did I miss something? Is the season over? Have the Seahawks been eliminated from contention? Until our team is out of contention then they still have a chance to repeat. Oh, and both our Seahawks and your 49ners have 3 losses so why are you writing our epitaph unless you are insinuating your team is out of contention?

Two main reasons a team doesn't repeat are injuries and too much turn over from the championship year. Well, I am sure you can agree that we have had our share of injuries at key positions. I am NOT making an excuse, just stating a FACT.

Did out front office waste too much capital on Percy Harvin putting a crimp on maybe resigning a few players we let go? Sure did, it is a bummer but at least they recognized their mistake and moved on. I don't want to hear about Harvin catching 11 passes for 119 yards either. He had a few good games for us too before his head got in the way. Lets see how he is doing at the end of the season or next season when the Jets have a new head coach.
