News from Space on Hawks receivers

Postby Bird Droppings » Mon Nov 03, 2014 10:00 am

I couldn't call them a receiving core or a receiving corps.

And I have a hunch part of Will's throwing problems are possibly on what he can throw up on.

Right now, it appears the Hawks have 3 receivers who might be able to catch an important pass, plus the Beast and even Turbin.

Those three would be Baldwin and two rooks who seem to know how to get a ball: Richardson and Norwood.

Kearse belongs in a hearse compared to what he showed last year. Targeted 7 times, 5 of those (maybe 6) catchable ...he ended up with one reception.

And Willson makes an important catch now and then, but yesterday had only one reception with 4 more very catchable.

So, I'm suggesting, some of the stuggles of the QB and his efficiency are based on who is getting his gift package as he quickly rattles through his progression ... and it remains regressive instead.

Maybe they were so caught up in Percyville that Bevell was forced to make that work, instead of working with his young (albeit brilliant at times) young QB or route reading lesson for the receiving corpse.

As long as Miller is out, and Helfet struggles, then the TE position remains dismal.

Willson is not a long term answer, let alone a short one.

As for Kearse, maybe the commercials and congrats from last year have gone to his head.

But, less blame should be laid on Wilson and the patchwork OL, and more on the receivers.

Maybe they'll give Turkulu some reps at TE.

Great post a lot of what you say is spot on, still think the oline is part of the issue. Could really use you to specify which Wilson although I think I got it. But great post.
