Seahawks making some moves, one I find VERY intriguing.

Tony Moeaki is a guy who has had HORRIBLE, and I mean absolutely HORRIBLE luck in terms of injuries.
Before anyone says, "He'll never stay healthy!", let me say this, you're may be right, but if he does, he's a VERY nice addition!
Adding an athletic, fast, good hands tight end, one who is a good blocker as well is never a bad idea.
Especially with Uke Wison dropping everything in sight. (I've come to the belief that he just cannot make contested catches.)

As for the other signings...meh, whatever. I don't get the return of Walters myself, I guess the coaching staff likes him, and the kid from the Jets, who they took in round four? He seems like a smaller, slower, less elusive, less talented, less good slot receiver who will likely not be able to stand up to the NFL beating he will take... But hey, look under every rock right?

No downside to adding Moeaki - even if he only lasts a handful of games, it could be enought until Zach gets back.

Saunders might be the punt returner we need with his quickness although he is a little small.

So I get the TE but more small, 3# WRs really?

A half healthy Mo-Mo is mo valuable than Willson or Helfet at this point, especially if blocking comes with him.

I could be curious to see the QB to Moeski rep profile at practice today.

Moeski's first year was absolutely sensational.

I just kind of wonder if big ole New York and it's zoo full of parasites might not have had a hand in Saunders poor showing in the Rotten Big Apple.

Somebody on the staff sees something more than blind luck and heaven help hope in him.

Walters? Well, I've uncovered him previously in here.

Punt returner mostly, but maybe special situations? Somebody saw something in him at one time, maybe he can display it here.

Luke Willson is frustrating. He does seem to drop a lot of passes. And then he will make one or two amazing catches and I think somewhere in my mind I let him off the hook. I don't think he or Helfet are good blockers so Moeaki looks to be a definite upgrade, and I'll trust you guys about his ability to catch a ball. I think Walters was brought back because Baldwin, according to Pete I think, suffered a bit of a groin injury returning punts against the Raiders and we CANNOT have him go down at this point. If anybody is to be a sacrificial punt return lamb I'd rather it be Walters.

Maeaki can catch, trust me. He has terrific hands terrific concentration, and runs good routes. The onyl reason he isn't a known name is, he is ALWAYS hurt. This guy is like, never healthy ever.

I think the reason Baldwin may not be returning punts, has a lot to do with him fair catching that punt at the three yard line, don't you? That was really awful.

re: the fair catch

Oh, I know. I was yelling at the TV "Let it bounce and get the hell out of there!" No field awareness on the punt. But I swear there was a report (I haven't watched all the pressers-zero attention span) where Carroll had said the DB stressed his groin on a return.

No matter, as long as he isn't back there anymore. And hopefully getting Lane back might help on our dismal punt coverage team (sorry for the OT bit).

He did injure his groin during the game.
He's listed as Probable at the moment.

From ESPN:
The other eight who did not practice include receiver Doug Baldwin (groin), outside linebacker Malcolm Smith (groin), strong safety Kam Chancellor (groin), left tackle Russell Okung (calf), cornerback Byron Maxwell (calf), defensive end O'Brien Schofield (head), left guard James Carpenter (ankle) and backup center Stephen Schilling (knee).
