Official Seahawks vs Giants Game Thread

Postby savvyman » Sun Nov 09, 2014 1:30 pm

Returning for the Seahawk's will be Max Unger & Russell Okung. Also making his first appearance this season will be Jeremy Lane.

Seahawk Players who are out:

OG James Carpenter (ankle) - Alvin "Goodyear" Bailey gets the start.

SS Kam Chancellor (groin) - Jeron Johnson gets the start

TE Zach Miller (ankle) - Luke "Hands of Stone" Wilson gets the start.

TE Tony Moeaki

LB Malcolm Smith (groin)

CB Steven Terrell

MLB Bobby Wagner (toe) - Brock Coyle gets the start.

I look for another hard fought game with the Seahawks pulling away in the final 2 minutes to win by 7 points.

Bonus prize to first person to determine how Alvin Bailey got his nickname.

I love the way Lynch just left the ball in the end zone, he acted like he has been there before, which of course he has.

Russell has got lucky when making that throw so many times before. He almost always is late with that throw and would have a lot more picks except opposing DBs have dropped ez picks. I just don't think Wilson can make that throw.

We have to generate more offense than RW rushing the ball. See what happens when they go away from feeding the Beast? We have breathed life in to a team that deserve to have life breathed into it.

Come on Bevell, you started the game right, get back to what got you here, Lynch!

RW has been legendary moving with his feet, but he's missed some wide open throws in the last couple of weeks. Are the Hits taking their toll?

Typical first half for our defense- getting the ball jammed up their asses.

Russell is averaging 11 yards a carry. Maybe we should just have Russell run the ball every down?

I'm so frekin tired of our pass rush going on the outside. They never get to the QB.

Our defense is unable to stop anyone, at least in the first halves this season. Absolutely pathetic.

Losing Mebane is a killer. Now, how long will he be out?? Wiilson out, who cares? What I want to know is how soon is Miller going to be back?? What is this B.S. with players waiting until the season starts and then deciding that they need to have "clean up" surgery?? Why didn't he have the surgery in the spring? Miller might as well return his salary for this season.

Half Time Analysis:

Russell & Marshawn's Legs comprise our entire offense.

We have no passing game - Russell (again as if this is any surprise) has no time or pocket to operate from.

On Defense it is the same - we can effectively neutralize the run However....

We cannot stop the passing attack -remember this is the Pass Defense who let Ausitn Davis go 18-21.

Second half - Giants will come out and stack the Box and also keep a contain man outside to stop the run and Russells bootlegs.

Seahawks need to call a couple play action intermediate to long passes over the middle.

Bevell - when it is second or third and short - Bring in the 280 pound full back and let Marshawn jam it down their throats - stop this 3 wide receiver sets in this situation.

Mebane is a disaster. Did they mention what happened? I missed it. Clinton McDonald (sp) is missed.
