Seahawks eyeing the son of a Hall of Fame WR

CFL wideout Duron Carter, son of Hall of Fame receiver Cris Carter, is drawing interest from upwards of 15 NFL teams, his agent, Mitch Frankel, told CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora. Sources told La Canfora the Colts, Seahawks and 49ers are "very interested" in obtaining the 6-5 specimen, assuming he has matured from off-field issues that led to him going undrafted.

I was watching a top 10 show on NFL network about wide receivers a while back. I think it was titled the top 10 greatest catches of all time, or the top 10 wide receivers of all time. Anyway, Cris Carter was ranked #1 on the list. He had many many spectacular 1 handed grabs throughout his career. I for one would love to see some of that DNA on a Seahawks roster.

Hopefully, like his dad he'll grow out of them.

Well hopefully if Seattle brings him in, he already has.... Much rather be the Minnesota, as opposed to the Philadelphia in the scenario...

Roger that. But then, his dad's wake up call was getting dumped by the team that drafted him, matbe the son's wake up call was not getting drafted after acting the fool in college.

Chris Carter was 'voted' ahead of Jerry Rice? I mean he was good, but #1? Good Luck with that!

As much as it would be great to have a Legit #1 or at least someone who might be, I doubt we get him, It will be his choice and there are teams that throw the ball more than us looking at him. IF your a Wr this is the last team you want to go to, because we do not throw it enough and our route trees are really bad.

DO not get me wrong I hope I am wrong because we need to improve at WR, and route trees, but if I were a Wr I would not come here, not enough passing going on.

Another receiver with off field issues? Oh, joy!

IMO, we'd be foolish to take a flyer on this guy.

I'm done with petulant, self-centered adult babies who feel entitled, especially when some of its derived from being the offspring of a former player, no matter how good he was.

No point in bringing in a punk who's gonna get booted outta town anyway.

Harsh, I know, but I have zero tolerance for this kinda krap. I hope we stay clear and get a skilled, hungry WR (or two) next spring.

He couldn't cut it academically at either Ohio State or Alabama even though he's supposedly very intelligent. Yea, I'd say he had some sort of entitlement complex if he can't spend enough time in the classroom to stay on either of two top 5 programs and playing for two of the most renown college coaches.

I guess since we wouldn't be burning 3 draft choices it wouldn't entail a whole lot of risk, but there's a bunch of teams interested so you know he's not going to be signing for the league minimum. Like Zorny, I'm sick and tired of taking on these 'projects' where others have failed convinced that we possess the magic touch that no one else on the planet has.

One thing that sets these Seahawks apart is their film study, ahem, classroom. Just say no to someone who cannot handle the classroom........
