Best place to watch the game near the Clink.

Postby BelizeHawk » Tue Dec 30, 2014 11:58 am

Hey all. I am going to be in downtown Seattle (on unrelated business) the weekend of the divisional playoff game. I don't think I will be able to swing the price of a ticket, unless resale prices drop the day of. I would like to make the 1 mile hike from my hotel to the Sodo area to bask in the atmosphere. Where is the best place to watch the game? Biggest screen, best atmosphere... I really enjoy Elysian's brew, but a big, easily visible screen is my number one priority.

I like Slugger's as they have TV's right next to each other and right in front of your face. Great for watching multiple games, but probably not as much of a consideration now that it's the playoffs. You also have to get there early as it's tiny.

FX McRoy's is a good place to eat a pre game meal. Pyramid Brewery across from Safeco Field on First Ave. has a big outdoor beer garden if you arrive late. Lots of other good places in the area, hard for you to go wrong with any of them.

Do they ever show the game across the street at Safeco?

I guess the NFL has laws about showing games in non NFL stadiums so my answer to that one is "no"
Would be pretty cool to watch it on that giant screen though
