The arbitrator didn't buy his excuse at all- he just didn't think the punishment was appropriate.

Point taken - but it's still a victory for Suh and the Lions since he gets to play.

NS is the type of guy that would gladly fork out 70k per garbage like this if that's all he had to pay, IMO.

Agreed- I just keep seeing people acting like Suh was vindicated- he wasn't.

It was found to be inappropriate and completely intentional (as any sentient being could tell you), but just didn't rise to the level of being suspension-worthy (not all that surprising IMO).

Are you serious? No thank you I dont want this low class moron on the Seahawks, I dont care how good he is. He will never change and will eventually be suspended. Theres something beyond just being a natural born punk with this guy.The suspicion of PEDs has crossed my mind fair or not, that may explain why there's the rage and twisted mentality along with the incredible Hulk physique and freakish athletic ability. Either way its a definite no for him here.

Get well Brandon!!!

I wasn't advocating for signing him, and in fact I tend to agree with you on him being not worth the trouble. My question is simply whether we could even be players for a contract like his.

IMO the problem with bringing in Suh is all financial. So long as we had some type of clause in his contract that would return the balance on his signing bonus on any suspension I would be open to it if we felt we could afford it. I would not be nearly as worried about bringing him in as I was with Harvin. There's nothing in Suh's past to indicate that he's a bad teammate.

It's a moot point anyway as I doubt that we'll have enough cap space to bring in him and resign Russell and Bobby, which IMO are both much bigger priorities.

Looks like it was unintentional after all - Suh has a reasonable explanation for why his feet were successful in finding Aaron Rodgers ankles twice while he had his back turned towards him:

If I was the arbitrator, I'd have said "one-game suspension changed to $70K fine for intentionally stepping on the QB, but a new 3-game suspension for insulting my intelligence."

Exactly. He would have been better off not saying anything at all rather than make up a lame excuse like that. For me, his giving that bullchit excuse is all proof the I need to determine that he was intentionally trying to inflict pain or injury.

I wonder what his reaction would have been if that was a rattlesnake he was stepping on rather than Rodger's leg. Geez, Doc, I didn't realize that was a snake because my feet were numb. With his numb feet, perhaps the army can use him as a mine detector.

Same lame excuses he's been giving year in and year out, always something beyond his control, or an accident, not sure how he got out of the suspension given his history ( and something tells me it had more to do with him being able to play, as opposed to a belief in his sorry arse excuse), and especially to whom he did it too.

At some point one would expect the NFL to give this guy his walking papers, or at least a real suspension, but nah, much better to give year long suspensions for smoking a little weed to ease the pain of the rigors of an NFL season. SMDH. Their priorities, statements and emphasis has about as much validity, as a seven dollar bill..
