I seriously thought our resources, at least the huge contract resources, we earmarked elsewhere ... this team never ceases to surprise. I just love that we're showing the world, and more importantly the rest of the team, that we really do take care of our own and if you earn it you will be rewarded, but is anyone else concerned about the Beast's pitch count at the beginning of such a contract?

For Marshawn, i had figured 10m a year for 3 years with 15m guaranteed / signing bonus (helps Marshawn pay that upcoming 1m fine for the 3 days of the "Beast" cap penalty.)
Since he was in around 8m anyway (prorated cap hit from his last contract) and the ability for prorating the new contract over 3 years, the hit wouldn't be that much more, maybe up around 9m?
What may occur is more of the top backups (Schofield is one) that we may not be able to resign as their value has increased.
