The point was made that to beat your chest after making a play on a poorly thrown ball is silly, when the opposite result could have just as easily occured. I seriously wonder if some of you can ever begin to analyze anything in its correct context.
If Kap had run over to Cam, stood in front and mocked his celebration then you can equate it to Sherman's mock. As it happened, it was no different at all than Bruce Irvin "mocking" Cam in 2012. I am sure you all remember that sack + dance. I'm not a fan of it either, but cmon. Let's get real.
Some of what Kap said today is rididiculous (Sherman is not afraid of any receiver), but bottom line you I don't have an issue with our guy responding to a player that intentionally mocked and disrespected our entire team at a moment when he knew no one could respond for 9 mo. Cowardly, IMO.
They should both shut it and play ball. You want to shut Sherman up, just do it on the field.

kalibane wrote:Oh shut that clap trap up Future. It wasn't a poorly thrown ball. Crabtree was blanketed. It's Sherman's pet pattern and he was in his pet position (the same type of pattern where he picked off Kaep on that pass to Davis in week 2). The only reason he didn't intercept it himself was because Crabtree pushed off on Sherm's inside shoulder (and no I'm not asking for an offensive PI, it was a vet move by Crabtree, but it happened), turning him slightly.
There was no place to put that ball except out of the back of the endzone. Kaep can't man up and admit the fact that he made a poor decision. Not poor throw POOR DECISION (and poor play call for that matter). They stayed away from Sherm the entire game for a reason and then decided to take a shot on him on the one type of pattern that you absolutely don't throw on him?
I've stuck up for Kaep for a long time but he looks like a straight biatch right now. You lay in the weeds for two weeks, now you want to throw shade? It's not that what Sherman did was any better... The issue with Kaep is he's crying about another player doing the same thing he did the previous week. He can dish it but he can't take it. You don't see Sherm crying about all the players taking shots at him now. He's takin those shots like he should. When you turn the ball over 3 times in the fourth quarter and make the terrible decision to challenge a first team all-pro on his favorite pattern to cover and lose the game based on that decision you suck it up and take it like a man since you were man enough to dish it out in Carolina.
And for the record... Bruce Irvin kissing his bicep is not the same. Know why? Because Bruce has go back on that field and risk getting embarrassed by Kaep mano y mano. Sherman has to watch out for Crabtree on crackbacks. Kaep doesn't have to face off against Cam. You'll never see me complain about Boldin's non stop chirping (even if I think it's silly after a 6 yard catch) because he does it againt the same guys who might go out there and knock is ass in the dirt. Kaep mocking Cam was straight weak sauce.
While I never saw eye to eye with you on your assessment of Kaep's game (and still don't... should have been pick 6 against Green Bay that was dropped. 3 turnovers in the 4th quarter against Seattle, especially that ball that Kam took, looks like deer in headlights to me), I gave him the benefit of the doubt until that superman garbage. Now that he's off in the media complaing about someone doing the same type of thing to him he's a punk in my book. And if Sherman gets his comeuppance and doesn't take it like a man I'll say the same thing about him... but you need to go back to a Niner's board trying to spin this. Kaep is looking real Ralph Tresvant right about now... sensitive.

Stop right there. You didn't throw the ball one foot further. You made a bad decision and lost the game for your team. You choked.

Last I checked he only tried to throw on Sherman twice in the NFC championship game. Not only that, but barely even looked at Sherm's side of the field.
So.. if that was a matchup you supposed to take advantage of then you're a terrible player for ignoring it the whole game. I can just picture Kaep in his basement with a picture of Sherm on a dart board fuming right now.
Dude... shut up. It's okay to kiss your bicep and mock Cam Newton but someone mocks you back and you can't handle it. Grow up.

Uhg, I give up. You guys have this ultra weird anti-Californian anti-Niner thing goin on up there. And yes it is getting to the point of weird.
Kap came out and said he lost the game himself. Didn't say we "should have won", or "they didn't deserve to win". You know the exact point he was making and why he made it. Bottom line, don't trash a player or a team when you make a play because you are only an inch or two from being on the other end next time. Sherman's display was insulting to plenty of non-Niner fans across the country. I am not at all surprised that you haven't bothered to consider why Kap's Superman drew not even 1/10th of the criticism. Again, context. Bruce Irvin did the same exact thing "to" (if you can call it that) Cam at end of the game in 2012. Big fn deal.
Apples and Oranges, apples and oranges.
Sherman is not Ali. Ali talked to gain and advantage. Sherman talks about guys he"ll never line up against = Darrelle Revis. The only difference between he and TO is that Sherman cannot demand from his DC that the opposing QB throw his way. If he were a wr though, he'd be an identical locker room cancer. Look at me, look at me, everyone I made the play (notice his lb actually intercepted the ball. Insignificant detail).
I still don't hate the Hawks, as much as they and some of you are trying to get me to lol. I think they were the better team, and are starving for attention. Good for them and you; you finally got it.

Futureite, do me a favor and root for the Donkey's, they're a good fit for you.
Steady_Hawk wrote:Kap really should have stayed quiet. Oh well, he has a lot of time to reflect on his highly intelligent decision to throw one on one with Sherm blanketing Crabtree. This must have been his first read apparently as Niner fans were talking about other WR's being open.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, THANK GOD we have Wilson and not Kap. I can't wait to see the mega deal they will send his way. I'm hoping for an eight year 200 Mil deal all guaranteed.
Btw, maybe Sherman is afraid of those WR's. Hell, I'm afraid of Crabs and VD. Nasty!

Yeah, the "if I'd have thrown it one foot further" nonsense is hilarious. Yeah, Kaep, and if your Aunt had balls she'd be your Uncle.]

LOL. Kap's so butthurt, he's comfortable being a jock-sniffer in the national media.
Hey, Colin- why don't you take off your sh.tty DRE'S and pick up a pair of pom-poms and put on your spanx.

Right. He's as dumb as they get. The guy was greeted to a chorus a boos as he took the set this am. Has to be the least respected QB in the league.
You don't want your QB out here acting like this.

Yup.
That whole interview was one long 'tell' for his state of mind. He's *seething* inside and he can't shake it.
I don't blame him for seething.
