Boycott Coors!

Postby RiverDog » Sun Feb 02, 2014 8:05 am

Two weeks, I did not permit the consumption of any California wine prior to or during the NFC Championship game. Only Washington state beverages were allowed. It worked.

Today, even though I will not be hosting our party as I did two weeks ago, I'm taking an ample supply of in state beverages. The first person I see consuming Coors I will immediately remove their beverage and replace it with one from our state.

Excellent idea - may I add that you also issue a $100 fine for each violation?

Nah. Just dump the remaining contents down the toilet and smash the can by jumping several feet in the air.

I drink Fosters, Red Stripe and Guinness.

Until Australia, Jamaica and Great Britain get their NFL franchises I'm cool.

Makes sense to me Riv, Coors is nasty anyway.
So many beers (thousands easily)that are better than Coors, I can't understand why anyone would drink that bilge in the first place.

So now Scotland is local?

Now I do drink local whiskey; Wild Turkey in brewed practically next door. Beer not so much ... (although Colorado did have some tasty micro-brews).

Kinda the opposite of you eh?, with your local beer and Scotch whiskey?

Reasonable. Just get their permission or you may have a problem on your hands.
But then, its your house right?

haha

I am a scotch man myself,JW Red Label suits me fine. With my favorite Bourbon being Makers Mark. Of course Bob would know all about that one. Been gaining too much weight lately, after the game I will tone it down a notch.

I don't drink whiskey often, but when I do, it's usually Crown Royal, which is admittedly not local, unless local is to include the North American continent. I never touch Scotch. Tastes too much like iodine to me. I do admit to drinking California wines as they are quite a bit cheaper than Washington wines and I've acquired a taste for them, but not for big events like football games. Quality trumps price for special events. My beer drinking is exclusively in state unless none are available.

I did take great pleasure in drinking some California wine as part of a toast immediately after the NFCCG on the premise of "to the victors go the spoils."

Yesterday I bought some Fremont IPA, brewed in Seattle, as it comes in a can and less likely to damage my 16 oz tumbler that's making the trip to Walla Walla with me for our SB party. So starting at about 3:15 pm this afternoon, I'll be drinking a Washington beer out of a Seahawks tumbler while wearing my #12 Nike game jersey and white Seahawks cap, as shown in my avatar. You can't be anymore supportive than that!

Apologies Sir, I was thinking of Hox, who's preferred whiskey is Oban.

The only CO beers I'd be sad to give up are by Oskar Blues and Great Divide (although I haven't had Odell). I can't get WA beers in Indiana, but I am having WA smoked salmon as the highlight of my spread.

Gawd, can this game f***ing start already...

Does it count that I have boycotted Coors since the 80's ;) I

am a microbrew man. Growing up in Ballard led to some great drinking habits of local breweries. I remember t he days when you could only get Redhook in Ballard.

I have an Alanskan sampler twelve pack sitting in the fridge waiting for game time.

Drinking a twelves pack seem only proper ;)

Smoke only locally grown pot! Smoke only pot cultivated and grown in Washington State! How is that??

Do NOT under any circumstances smoke any pot from Colorado!
