- The Seahawks travel! There are Hawk fans in Hawk jerseys everywhere. We bounced around 5 or 6 bars and each were full of Seahawk Blue. Very cool to see.
- Walking the streets to a chorus of Sea Sea Sea Seahaaawks! is completely awesome. Even the lone "Elway" jersey guy had to admit it was cool.
- Wish I had a Number 12 flag. Their everywhere as well.
- The NY'ers appear to have adopted the Hawks as their team. From street vendors to clerks and bartenders, everyone is pulling for the Hawks
- Kaep is still a douche. He's a douche on the west coast and a Douche back here. Hopefully the boo's being hurled his way during his interview were picked up on TV.
- Cool to see numerous players represented. We drank guinness with Miller, Irvin, Bennett, Boom Boom, Harvin, Tate, Wagner, Mebane, Wilson, Lynch and of course a bunch of #12's
- It's cold. Not snowing or raining, but that wind is cold. Mid-20's maybe in the day, but once the sun went down it really cooled. (a few pints of Guinness helped for the walk back)
- The Super Bowl alley is really cool, but just to crowded to really enjoy.
- Lynch is signing autographs tonight at 6pm. Probably have to get in line by 3, but worth it.
Go Hawks!

Glad to hear that #12 is making their presence known. Hopefully the atmosphere on Sunday afternoon will be different than the last time we were in the SB.

You are one of the few Shack guys out there. Hit us up with a post every now and then.
Looks as if we will at least have a neutral field.
I hoped the Giants fans would adopt us since we, like them, were underdogs to "legacy" situations. Plus they want to keep Eli with two rings not make it even, IMO .

My brother is there, he took inherited our dads season tickets back in the middle 90's but just like last time he didn't win the lottery. If he had won the lottery I would have been able to go since all I would have had to come up with was the round trip airfare because we would have stayed with his son (my nephew) who lives in N.Y. but since he had to buy tickets on the secondary market it will be just him and his son. I just couldn't afford to pay several thousand dollars for tickets and airfare.
I am glad at least one of us brothers will be there and he is the older brother so to him go the spoils, I guess. I told him he had better bring me back a program LOL.

Hawks continue to dominate with fans wearing jerseys/hats/scarves/jackets/socks/ and just about anything else you can fit our Hawk logo on. Oh, and the number 12 flags are draped like capes on several fans. A few more observations.
- during happy hour at a pretty large bar, two Broncos walked in and immediately started chanting "let's go Broncos". It lasted two or three chants before a fellow Hawk fan was on his chair, waving his 12 flag chanting the Sea Sea Sea Seahawks! We had the entire bar, minus the two Broncos, chanting. Even the bartenders we're into it. That scene unfolded throughout the night. In bars and on the streets. Bronco fans are great, they just havent seen the passion we're bringing these days.
- NY'ers continue to pile onto the Hawks Bandwagon. I havent met a local yet who isnt pulling for the Hawks. I guess there is still some love for Pete from his time with the Jets. When we have a few minutes to engage in conversation, the question/comment we hear the most is about the fans at the Clink. We've heard several times that its the one venue that whomever would love to experience. Take a lot of pride 12's, our home field is well respected.
- we took in the Rangers vs Islanders Hockey game at Madison Square Garden. I've never been to an NHL game, nor do I know a thing about Hockey, but if Seattle were to ever land a franchise, I'd do whatever I could to get tickets. The game is unbelievably fast and the fans were awesome. Oh, and the 12th man was well represented throughout the Garden. We had the 12's chant going pretty well during one of the intermissions.
- the NFL shop at Macys is an absolute zoo. It's huge and full of awesome NFL stuff, but just to crowded to move around. One of the neat features is the ability to customize a jersey on the spot. One of the more creative we saw was a blue number 12 game day with the SB logo and for his name ... "49'ers Suck" not sure how I feel about 49'ers being on a Hawk jersey, but it was pretty funny.
- Didnt make it to see Lynch. We walked by Planet Hollywood where he was signing, but the line was huge and we wanted to get to Garden to score hockey tickets.
- We did however end up at a joint with Zorn, Largent and King 5. They had 12th flag man signing. We all signed the flag. Pretty awesome.
- I'm loving the 99 cent cheese pizza slices. Loving it for breakfast, lunch, and stumbling home at 3 am. I've set my training back 6 months in 2 days.
Thats it for now. I hope this doesnt come off as bragging or anything like that. Truly not my intention. I wish the whole Shack could be here!

Looking at the stands during the game I estimated the crowd to be 50% hawks fans, 30% bronco fans, & 20% neutral. What a game! Domination from start to finish!
The cool thing is that we are so young too! With luck, we'll be feeling this awesome feeling many many times over the next 15 or so years.

Hawkstar wrote:Good Morning fellow Shackers and faithful fans of the WORLD CHAMPION SEATTLE SEAHAWKS! WOW! That just happened!
Not even sure where to start, it was such an amazing, emotion filled day. Here we go.
- 12's were loud! Several of us commented on that it felt like a HOME game! You could here a pin drop when Russ and crew were shredding the Broncos. I think the Denver fans learned a little something about passion, the 12's and noise we can create. So damned cool!
- The Bronco's were well represented. We were wondering where they all came from given we didnt see many around town, apparently they saved their Orange stuff for game day. I thought we were out numbered but I think the Orange just really stands out. Probably closer to 50/50 or maybe the Hawks had a slight edge. We know which fan base brought it tho...
- Best 12's new chant I've participated in coming from our section - "OmaHawk!"
- Best "SEA HAWKS" chant - right as they dimmed the lights for the half time show and it was quieted down as people prepared for whatever was happening next, SEA HAWKS breaks out and it was loud. And Awesome.
- Skittles flooded the end zone when the Beast scored. The Donkeys around us had no idea what was hitting them. btw - on that extra point, I guess we were on TV. My phone started blowing up with people saying they saw us.
- The 12's in our section nearly lost our minds on the Pick Six, not quite Beast Quake intensity, but it was special for sure. It also sent 4 Bronco fans back to where ever they were staying. I'm bummed they felt compelled to leave, but we loved all the extra room. I'll have to dig through my sea of pictures, but there was a time when all the Orange in our section was sitting and of course the 12's were standing. Seeing it live, you knew exactly how each fan base was feeling. I hope it turns out.
- The one thing about Super Bowls is you stand in some serious lines. Like 2 plus hours worth of line. We were standing with 6 Bronco Diehards to get into Met Life. Of course we each knew who was going to win... anyway, of all the banter and debate, what really stands out was their complete disregard for our WR's. As if they shouldnt even show up given they were going to be non-factors. How about Baldwin and Kearse tearing up numerous Broncos or just making them miss on their way to the Endzone. I wish I could have recorded that conversation.
- Speaking of making Broncos miss, Percy. I know we've had some healthy debate, but wow. I mean really wow. Happy for him.
- Coolest idea by a 12. This guy had a 12 Flag draped as a cape and a sharpie. He approached anyone in Hawk Blue and had them sign it. Really neat idea, I wish I had thought of that. I'll get one in Phoenix!
- It was cool to see all of the more recognizable Hawk fans in NY. (the white fur coat/green suit guy, the painted Hulk et) Mama and Papa Hawk (I think that's what they call themselves - the couple in full uni's/face paint et) sat in the row behind us.
- The Half Time show was super impressive. I'm not rushing out to buy a Bruno Mars album, but it was a really great show.
- Plenty of tears of joy rolling down a lot of cheeks of the 12's. Myself included.
- A funny little tidbit; everyone is snapping pictures and asking to have their picture taken et. A couple in row in front of us happen to capture a really photo of us as she was getting the score board. Anyway, we swapped number so she could text it. Turns out they just bought a home in Bend, our town. In our community. Bends pop is just north of 80k, Metlife held 82.5k. Funny to think 6 of us Bend folk (that I know of) were within a row of one another.
- Okay, so a quick gripe. I hate to complain, because it was such an Awesome day, but getting to/from Metlife via the trains was a nightmare. We only took the trains because the SB recommended it. To sum it up, it took 4+ hours to get from hotel to our seats. 2 plus hours standing shoulder to shoulder on a PACKED train platform with no movement. Leaving was even worse. Whomever was responsible for moving people swiftly to/from the Stadium was seriously asleep at the wheel. Oh and to be expected, prices of stadium fare... wow. When hot dogs are $16, you know you're in for an expensive day. Security. I know it's super important and unfortunately a part of our lives now, but they have to figure out a more efficient way. That's it, done complaining.
- The good news is we arent quitters and didnt let the train fiasco dampen our spirits. Once we were back in the City, we found several places to celebrate. And we did. As rowdy as the 12's were on Fri/Sat nights, we were 10X last night. "SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS!" all night long. The few Bronco fans I spoke with post game were in shock. They literally couldnt believe how Kam and Boys completely kicked the shyt out of their beloved Broncos.
- I guess the team party was riot with Mclemore and others playing. Once we settled into a couple 100 fans in a pub closer to our Hotel, we decided to stay. NY bars are open until 4, some of them will keep pouring as long as there are patrons. I left at 5 as a WORLD CHAMPION! Damn it, I still cant believe it.
Time to pack up and rally. Thanks for letting me share. I'll see about getting some pics up over the next day or two. Thanks again for the Platform Yoder!
btw - looking out the hotel window to a couple inches of snow and it looks to really be coming down. Travel should be awesome!

Perhaps next year when the SB is held in Phoenix. My brother-in-law is moving down there this coming September, so maybe...
