What you said is a microcosm of my main reason for not liking Trump: He just makes up stuff. I can't even call them lies as I truly believe that in his mind, he thinks is fantasies are the truth. And he does it so often and with such little effort and lack of remorse that even in this case about his Russian connections, they aren't necessarily proof of him hiding something.
Well RD we can quibble about some things such as Hillary's appearance relative to her counterparts her age. Maybe its her personality or her voice sounding like fingernails on a blackboard but frankly I can see why Bill was screwing around in the day...

As for Trump AND ALL HIS MINIONS lying about Russia it was evidence of knowledge of guilt and every prosecuter worth his salt will tell you so.
Mueller's report lays bare the lies, the welcoming with open arms of cooperation, the quid pro quo such as changes to the platform, the attempts to lift Russian sanctions blocked by congress, crafting a more pro Russian policy towards Ukraine, Trump personally making numerous public statements giving cover to the Russian interference etc, the dangling of a top floor suite worth 50 million to Putin himself in the proposed Tower.
Cohen is in prison partly because of his lies to congress about it.. Like I say Im not sure what the standard for criminal conspiracy is but there is plenty to go on to see why everyone lied about it.
As for Trump being a remorseless, pathological psychotic liar we are in complete agreement. Non partisan Politifact who flames politicians on both sides of the aisle has run out of Pinocchios and estimates that Trump has told nearly 10 K!!!!!! lies in the last 3 years. And somewhere between high 30% to low to mid 40% of american voters do not give a damn
