However, that was a classless move by Sherm, just quit holding grudges, put on your big boy pants and get over it. Salk saying "it's my name on the show" was childish, something I would expect him to say. So what Salk, no one is listening to that show because of you. KJ did well to recover, and I liked Brock defending "Salky, who I've known for 14 years" The discussion Salk, KJ and Brock had after Sherm was off the air was really, really good.

Sherm did more to get in front of the camera than Russ ever did, but not a peep from you about Sherm's behavior in recent years. Russ is the bad guy, not Sherm and his antics. Though I wonder if I was able to pull up the old Sherm threads I would you find you attacking Sherm back then too.
Like I've said a thousand times, I'll take a corny choirboy like Russ over most of the NFL every day of the week. When Russ retires, he'll happily move into broadcasting or whatever else with the worst anyone can say about him is "He's too square" or "Corny" or "too robotic." With a lot of other players, they'll have other stuff to say about them.
You go with whoever says what you want to hear at given time to fit your confirmation bias. Most of us with an objective viewpoint know Sherm is all about himself and his huge ego. When he left he wasn't happy with the Seahawks either.

Sherm went on a tirade about how the niners should have known better than to send a second rate receiver up against him. Can't remember the receiver's name. Anyway, Sherm's outburst was very unprofessional and classless. Very ego driven and childless. I have no doubt that Sherm and some other malcontents on the team during the post SB win years contributed to the Russ Wilson problem.

Speaking of which, another of my all times is Steve Largent. Wonderful player. Also a right wing Christian who went into politics. I didn't like that much.

As far as Sherman goes, I agree, he was a great player but not so much an individual that I'd want my kids or grandkids emulating. I still don't know how he, and Geno for that matter, were able to duck their DUI's and associated unlawful behavior.

After the incident, Geno begged the public not to jump to conclusions, but he never offered an explanation or told his side of the story. But it's a moot point as it's obviously not going to affect his playing status. But it did cause me to lose a little bit of respect for him.
