This team can be scary good and just think, we had two new OLine starters on the right side and Sweezy got hurt and was out for some plays, not to mention the issues on D.
Now, if we can only arrange to play all the playoff games at night, where Russell is really Russell. Played UP to the competition tonight.
Our last few drafts have really made this a team again --

This week should be treated as a semi bye week in that we need to get everyone healthy for the playoffs. There's not a great deal of difference between the 5th and 6th seeds, at least not enough to sacrifice the health of key players like Carson, Fluker, etc. If we had HFA as we've had in all 3 of our past SB appearances, I'd be predicting a Lombardi as I don't see a lot of difference between us and the other contenders, at least not when we're in the friendly confines.
It's refreshing to see some old friends re-appearing in this thread, like Sis, mykc, Vegas, and The Pope. I wish you guys would contribute more on Mondays-Saturdays.

I doubt he holds anyone out if they are the better player and can play.
I believe the preference would be to play Dallas in the friendly confines of the jerrah dome as opposed to opening the playoffs with Chicago.

RiverDog wrote:You're forgetting about the Rams. If the Rams lose to Santa Clara and the Bears beat Minny, then the Bears get the #2 seed and a first round bye. The Niners have played relatively well the past few weeks and the Rams haven't looked nearly as sharp as they did in the first couple of months. For our sake, I'd much rather see the Rams get the 2 seed as we'd likely play them in LA in the 2nd round. If the Bears get the 2 seed, we'd be heading for Chicago at the coldest time of the year.
