Was pleasantly surprised today to receive a tweet about the Seahawks current salary cap space. With three players left yet to sign from this draft class the Seahawks currently sit 10.39 Million under the salary cap. Which unless I'm mistaken ( and I certainly could be LOL, the cap is Greek to me) they can roll over a LARGE chunk of that cap into next years salary, and have plenty of money to sign Wilson ( with the cap likely to increase quite a bit, as well as the bump should they expand the playoffs) and pending players they may or may not sign ( like Avril or Okung etc). Plenty of money available next season. Could blow up in their faces still I suppose, but it seems like they really have this dialed in. ( I was sure Lynch would become a "ccausality" in the next season or two, but if he is still producing the numbers he has, I find that likely hood decreasing by the day as they move forward).
Not much going on, so why not look to the future I suppose.
This FO really has had a solid, intelligent plan in regards to how they approach that cap, the players they plan on keeping, and the way they go about doing it. It sucks losing guys you like as fans ( Red, Clemmons, Tate etc) but I for one feel the faith in that FO building from year to year.
