Ricardo Lockette who was a force on Punt coverage again and made an all-pro body screening move on Talib to catch the 39 yard touchdown that put the Hawks up 10-3.

I think they started at like the 22 after that kick, which never happens after a safety, I mean most teams make it out to like 35 following a free kick, but not with Ryan when he lets that leg hang out the ball goes flyin.

Sweezy is the unsung player on the O-Line. I use the word consistent again to describe J.R. Sweezy. He HAD to be good because Britt was in for all he could handle.
Ricardo Lockette has had his fans here in the Shack and he has rewarded their confidence in him. What an opportune time for the Seahawk passing game that Lockette is having a break out season. He has been stellar on ST and now he has been adding to what he did in the SB.
It was said that Percy Harvin made Tate expendable and I believe that Lockette has taken the place of Sydney Rice.
To those 3 players I add Burley, he has come in and done the job under difficult circumstances.

It might be just an impression, but I get the sense that JR Sweezy is really coming into his own.
Hawktawk wrote:I remember a discussion about our receiving corps in the off season and there was mostly negative feedback on the chances of Lockette being much of a factor as a reciever. But if you looked at the guys measurables it was intriguing. He has blazing speed and an almost TO type of physique. Well hes blowing up now and it looks like its going to be a great thing for the offense. He is already the most insanely good gunner we have seen in quite a while........
Seahawks4Ever wrote:Britt has been a fine job for being so young. He needed some help yesterday after he made a couple of mistakes. He has been a great pickup and he is only going to get better.
Hawktawk wrote:Sweezy is a mauler. Hes the nastiest guard we have had since Hutch took the money and ran.The run blocking seems improved in general. But in pass blocking I'm seeing quite a few delayed blitzes right up the middle with guys coming clean. Is that a scheme issue or what?

I was wondering through 3 games what your impression of Justin Britt has been. I have not heard his name much, which I take as a good thing.
Anyone else with any insight on his play would be appreciated, as I admit I don't watch the O-line much during a game and don't know enough about the position to know what I am talking about.
For a rookie RT, I am guessing he has graded out pretty well through 3 games.

Not sure if it is scheme, but often times, a defense brings more than there are blockers ( SD did that almost non stop) Wilson has to recognise it, and find the outlet quickly. As much as I love Wilson, he still struggles in that area ( though to be fair, ALL QB's struggle in that area). If he can see it, and quickly find the appropriate receiver the blitzing will cease, creating more time for him to pick apart a defense.
