Quinn should be ashamed of himself. Allowing that kind of production form a 3rd string QB

Fisher is notorious for doing stunts like this - and he's done them plenty against us, practically every time we play these guys.
The punt return was inexcusable, and the fake punt was equally bad. You HAVE to account for ANY eligible receiver for the punt team in this case.
It's a team loss, but special teams played a significant role in dropping a key division game.

obiken wrote:HS, the Rams went up on the Niners 14-3. A lot of us on this site, including me, predicted this. You are spot on, our best player on defense last year was our depth. We rotated a lot more DLineman, and DB's, we just don't have them this year. Moreover, the Offense that at times last year was anemic, like against Zona at home, is not that much better.
You think? The punt return will be shown for years for how badly they were fooled. Simply owned by Fisher and crew today. Unbelievable balls to call fake punt, inside your own 20, up by two points late in the 4th. Crazy! I guess we'll see it all this season.
Hawkstar wrote:What was the call on the fumble? Did they say their lineman recovered it? If anything either Sherman or Burley (I think it was him) had it.
It's as if they don't want a team to repeat. For F&#Ks sake, that was horrid way to end a putrid game. The ST's coach had his ASS handed to him.

I came away from this game ELATED with how well our offense responded to the loss of Harvin. They looked much better!
Clearly right now our defense is suffering from too many injuries, especially in that secondary.
And yes, the offensive line is still a sore point, but I saw signs of life even from that line in the second half, despite and injuries to now two centers, and despite our LT clearly playing through an injury.
I realize we lost, but we were the CLEARLY more talented team, who dominated in nearly every area the second half. Those are positive signs folks...we have WAY too much season left to play to start going into the sky is falling mode!

Personally I don't think a trade is necessary. Health is the bigger issue IMO, though CLEARLY the loss of D-Line depth is playing a role.
