Gotta regroup for next week in Carolina, which won't be easy no matter how bad they looked today in GB. As it stands, we can't take anybody lightly right now, particularly on the road, especially after the sloppy contest we had in Stl today.
At 3-3, it's not too early for doing some playoff math. In all likelihood, it's going to take 10 wins to get WC playoff spot. 9-7 just typically doesn't cut it, and there are too many competitive teams to think that a single digit win season gets you into the playoffs.
That means 7-3 the rest of the way. Each loss from here on out really affects our chances. If we lose to the Panthers, then we're looking at only affording 2 more losses for the remainder of the year.
The Seahawks, right now, are not playing well enough to think they can win 7/10. That's why they need this road win next week to get back on track.
For the division crown, realistically, it will take 11 or 12 W's to retain it. That means 9-2 or 8-2 the rest of the way. Again, we better start getting hot to even flirt with that idea right now.
I have faith that this team can still overcome just about anything. But this season clearly is different than last, and things just aren't going our way in tight games after getting blown out during the 1st half.
IMO, if we drop this game to the Panthers next week, than our chances of making the playoffs are 50/50, at best.
