I am thinking based on his first two games that SImon is hanging with the "Knucklehead Faction" of the Seahawk Locker room.

Getting arrested on "Tharod Simon Day" in your home town elevates you to the top of the "Knucklehead Faction" in my book.

Russell Wilson Baby!

Please Pass Interference all over that bomb to richardson.

Unless wrapping your arms around the helmet and eyes before the ball arrives is not PI?

This is effing gross to watch.

In time Richardson learns to use his body get the flag and/or make the catch. I'm impressed the DB was able to run with him.

Did not know that - Lol

I wonder if that is a initiation requirement for membership in the group?

Like to think so, but he's very average throwing the ball today. He's missed a ton of throws.

Tale of two halves for the D.

The number of plays we left out there was preposterous.

Way to go, though, Hawks!

Obviously thrilled with the W, but we won't win many more with 30 minutes of average ball, 27 minutes of horrible ball and 3 playing like the SB Champs.

A lost fumble when the center hiked the ball for shotgun when actually RW was under center.

A 50yd hail mary completed when thrown into double coverage with two all-pros in perfect position.

An easy, sure TD pass goes through the hands of a pretty good receiving running back.

An extremely accurate QB throws a sure TD pass into the ground when there was no defender within 20 yards of the receiver.

Those are just off the top of my head.

This game had rough edges, but like others, could have easily gone very, very much more in our favor. I'm not a "woulda/coulda" guy, and these letdowns could eventually become a pattern, but boy we look close IMO.

Regular 2nd string C is out for the year - that's going to happen upon occasion.

Great throw and great catch - perfectly executed by the Panthers.

Bad play by Lynch. He's here for his running ability, though.

Russ didn't get his body turned properly. Bad throw.

Overall, they aren't playing well on Offense. I think Miller is one of the keys for the Offensive success. Without him we lose not only some catches, but some good blocking as well.

No, bad exchanges happen on occasion with a backup- not being completely unaware where your QB is. Either way, that's my point- it's not something we'll probably see the rest of the year (or decade).

Great throw and great catch - perfectly executed by the Panthers.

Nonsense. It was desperation, and the only "execution" was both defenders failing to do what they do 99% of the time. Benjamin was blanketed and it was only by the grace of God neither all-pro made the play from inside the guy's jockstrap.

Bad play by Lynch.

Yep. He makes those plays *far* more often than not.

Bad throw.

Agreed, but my point is that despite that, we still could have easily won this by 18 (if my math is correct) with no miraculous "but ifs" required.

Irvin - 2 neutral zone penalties - inexcusable
Bennet - wrap up low and it was a safety
Newton to Benjamin - never have understood why a DB can't separate when to go for the pick, and when to just knock it down
Someone had a great chance to secure the ball on the muffed punt.

Plenty of mistakes, but lucky Carolina made some as well. All in all, a huge win. RW3 does it again. I am pretty happy right now, in spite of the mistakes, a win is a win, especially given what has happened to the Hawks recently. This win was critical, and the D seemed to come alive in the 2nd half.

Hey, here's a question: what is it with people being able to get a light hit, or at least a pile on, of RW when he slides?

I don't see any other QB dealing with the contact Russell does on scrambles.

It's it just confirmation bias or does there seem to be a little extra allowed on Russell?

There a lot of players playing a significant amount of time this season that didn't last season. Injuries have certainly taken their toll but there have been guys that are learning on the job and are only going to get better. Both he offense and the defense still have to gel, but they will gel. They are not last years team, but, they can still accomplish great things. Just think how easy every thing seemed to be last year and how much every thing is a struggle. but, after they gel they will be an even stronger more complete team that won it all last season.

Sure, the P.H. experiment was a fiasco but they averted disaster when they got rid of him, now he is Rex Ryan's problem.

Have the faith, many fans in other cities wish that their team was in the position our team is in, with all of the potential yet to be tapped and all of the breaks that have not gone our way. The tide turns and when it does and the chips are really down our team will have been through the fire and know how to win when the game and season are really on the line.

Look at Bruce Irvin, he had two bone head mistakes but there he was at the end of the game sealing the deal with back to back sacks.

Look at Luke Wiilson, he had dropped passes and other mistakes but when it really counted he caught the ball and came up huge.

R.W. did not play his best, yet still put the team on his shoulders and brought the team from behind yet again for a win.

Yeah, there are a lot of fans in other cities that wish they had our problems. Fans like Futurite...

You know it is funny RW did not play his best game, I agree. The oline was awful in the 1st half, there were 4 drops, and yet we win with some RW magic. I would love to see what things would be like with a top 10 pass blocking oline, and true #1 wr like the other elite QBs have. As much as I love ADB he is at best a #2 and he is our best WR. Luke Wilson is inconsistent and our oline is currently ranked 26th in pass blocking with most
of the NFC west still to play. I sure hope after this season they get a #1 wr and some pass blockers.

There were A LOT of silly mistakes. Irvin had ONE offsides penalty ( no matter what the ref said, watched the play at least ten times, he did not line up offsides, and his first move was back into coverage) the safety that should have been was silly, and Bennett knows better. Far more concerned with Seattle's unwillingness to take what is given. By my count there should have been SEVEN turnovers, and Seattle garnered two ( and that is without adding in the Bennett missed safety) they simply HAVE to start holding onto the turnovers that are created.

On a side note it was awesome to finally see a glimpse of interior pressure, it isn't coincidense that there were more hurries, sacks, and turnover opportunities today, with an actual push in the middle ( for a change).

Roger that.

Finally something that resembled consistent pressure on a opposing QB, one that can run and maneuver in the pocket no less.

On that note, I'm simply not impressed with Cam. Guy's all smiles when things are going his way, and a complete and utter baby when he's on the wrong end of a game when you see him on the sideline. Worst body language imaginable, typically with towel on head and looking disinterested.

We got a game we needed. The Ram matchup last week still stings, because we really should be sitting at 5-2. AZ is playing tough. The Falcons did us no favors today but at least the Saints Crushed GB to bring them back down to earth. I was surprised by tonight's contest. I really though the Packers would go in there and take it.
