Bet Whiners fans disagree, though.
Even a Hawks fan has to admit that the no-fumble-at-the-goal-line call (of the non-reviewable variety) was kinda egregious.
Meh. Will take it, and just hope that the NFL isn't already making plans for "make-up calls" in the SB.

agreed - And on the next play god reached down and caused Marshawn to fumble. Don't think the lord wanted this epic game being decided by a blown referee call.

This crew will not be the one doing the SB.
The SB crew will be the ones that did the first AFC and NFC playoff games.
I don't like that.
My rule about the refs is simple. If I remember a call that changed the game and if that call was illegitimate then you are not a good ref. If I don't remember much about the refs or don't feel strongly about them, then they did a good job. I put the refs in the latter category in this game.
That being said, it seems as if Breno has some technique problem that coaches have not stopped. His penalties have been HUGE HUGE HUGE. I gave him a pass the last game against the Saints, and this last time I did not see it, but I wonder if there is something about his technique that is causing the problem.

And yeah, like someone said, the fumble/takeaway on the goal line is just a bad rule, plus it ended up being a blessing in disguise- with the fumble a play later, they got the ball at around the 10 rather than the 1" line.

We'd best get used to it, Sis:

Ya, I worry about that as well. If it is close you know they will call roughing on us.
