T-iiiii-me is on their side, yes it is....
Much easier to look back, than forward. Seattle has dominated on defense for two years, we'll see where they are in another 8. Add in that Seattle ( NOT Pittsburgh) has the biggest point differential in back to back season compared to the league average, and they aren't playing in the seventies ( simply can't claim free agency has nothing to do with long term success on a unit, do you think without a Cap or Free agency, Seattle loses Bryant, Clemmons, Thurmond, Browner?) We'll see where they go, but last season DOES compare favorably with that team, and there is simply NO way to know whether the players on this defense are "considered" better than those, prior to their careers playing out, none. Thomas, Sherman, Wagner, Kam ALL have a shot to be considered in that same category, at the end of their careers. It doesn't mean they WILL just that they could.
By the way, I would LOVE to see what Thomas and Kam would have done in that defense, something tells me they would indeed have outperformed their counterparts ( if for no other reason than their speed, size and playmaking ability exceeds those in Pittsburgh, as well as the rules this defense HAS to play with, wouldn't exist, allowing them to be even MORE physical than they currently are that forced multiple rule changes to even the playing field).
